chancho: Where is the game he played against Von Holzhausen correspondence 1930? That game is a gem.
Dec-06-05  EmperorAtahualpa: <chancho> Do you mean this one? This is a correspondence game against Von Holzhausen but played in 1927.

But, when did he died?

Nov-08-06  ismet: http://img133.imageshack.us/my.php?...
Apr-06-08  Autoreparaturwerkbau: <syracrophy> He'll turn 108 this year, which is no wonder however, since French are really long-lived. Just remember Jeanne Calment.

P.S. The above was a joke. He died already (in 1994), but CG.com forgot about him. Still, 94 years is respectable age.

GrahamClayton: Also Paris City Chess Champion in 1942. Crepeaux represented France in the 2nd Chess Olympiad at The Hague 1928, the 3rd unofficial Chess Olympiad at Munich 1936, and the 9th Chess Olympiad at Dubrovnik 1950.
Jul-08-12  Pirandus: There is a game Crépeaux vs Duchamp 1-0 (1924)
Why don't figure it?
Oct-17-13  Karpova: Nizza, French National Tournament, 1925, won by Crepaux ahead of Lazard and Silbert (shared 2nd-3rd) while Renaud disappointed (they say he was occupied with work at the congress (<von den Kongreßarbeiten in Anspruch genommen>)).

GrahamClayton: “Robert Crépeaux, railway engineer, former student of the Ecole Polytechnique, was therefore declared champion of France for 1924. Aged only 23, our young champion represented the Cercle de Grasse, his hometown, which will have the honor to keep the Coupe du Progrès.

Robert Crépeaux demonstrates great ease in his combinations, to which he adds great sureness of appreciation. We see that he admirably benefited from the advice of Muffang, whose classmate he is at the Ecole Polytechnique. The student has shown himself worthy of the master.”
