Rogeriee Thompson, writing for the court, said the trial judge “fell short” in conducting the jury selection process and screening jurors for potential bias following pretrial publicity surrounding the high-profile case.> <Thompson stressed the ruling’s limits. “Make no mistake: Dzhokhar will spend his remaining days locked up in prison, with the only matter remaining being whether he will die by execution,” she said. > Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight, no chance of libs letting murderers out of jail. <Speaking at an event with law enforcement in Tampa, Florida, President Donald Trump referred to Tsarnaev as an “animal.”“They just sent this conviction for the death penalty back to the lower courts so they’ll argue about that for a long time,” Trump said. “It’s ridiculous.” > |

I said some prayers for you. Please make sure to contribute to this new page (okay, new in some essence I suppose) as you won't be bothered by the bottom feeders and trolls, who do not deserve to eat at the table of the Elite Posters, but who deserve instead to slop down their wet dog food and not wipe their faces clean. This is where all the talent is going to be, and it's an <Exclusive> club, shall we say. To be clear, it is not <inclusive>, it is <exclusive>, meaning that the resident posters here will be of only the finest quality who post seriously, substantively and with insight. Non-troll libs are allowed to post here so that we may use them as a boxer uses a heavy bag to work on his power punching. The Lurking Readers will see. |

Liberals know that criminals are of a kindred spirit to them, so they look out of the criminals. It's immoral to make good people pay to feed and house murderous criminals. That is the bottom line. I don't want him in jail for his whole life. I don't want to pay for his meals, housing, exercise and health all of his life. I want him dead, hanging in public asap. The liberals are what's wrong with the criminal justice system. |

| Aug-02-20 | | Big Pawn: <It’s Gonna Blow> The following sentiments are to be found everywhere as of recently. <Hoo-boy. She’s ready to explode, go high order. Smoking ruins, dead bodies, seething hatreds, and a country that can’t be put back together. It may not happen, but she looks ready. No one is in charge in this collapsing shell game of a country. In Louisville hundreds of armed blacks threaten to “burn the mother@#$%er down,” meaning Louisville, if they don’t get their way. All cringe before them, with reason. They have guns. Larger numbers marched in Georgia, armed, ready to rock and roll. BLM says it will “go into the suburbs” to get Whitey. Who will stop them? Not the government. It fears them. Weimar Kentucky. An American Freikorps.> So far the Elite Posters most likely agree, but now read the following: <There is no leadership, no one in charge. In Trump we have perhaps the weakest President in history, mouthy, preening, ineffectual, much talk and no action. He did nothing while the rioters looted, burned, and vandalized, then disengaged himself from the pandemic, leaving decisions to the states. Much cawing and gaudy feathers, but no bird inside.> I have to agree with some of this. No, I don't think Trump is the weakest president in American history, far from it, but his response to Burn Loot Murder has been weak. I'm not looking to make any excuses. Why should I? This communist, anti-American, seditious, terrorist movement has been allowed to grow under Trump. If Obama were in office, I'd be blaming him for it. Trump is in office so he gets all the blame. <To collapsing countries these usually comes a man on a horse. A man with a big stick. You know, 1789, 1917, 1933. That kind of thing.> I've been expressing the same thoughts in my own way for some time now. https://www.unz.com/freed/its-gonna... This is an interesting rant. |

| Aug-02-20 | | Keyser Soze: <pawn> interesting article. Imho I DO think states should be primary responsible for the caos as they are directly in charge of safety of people . if they can't handle the situation , ok call the Federal government. That's how Federalism works. <To collapsing countries these usually comes a man on a horse. A man with a big stick. You know, 1789, 1917, 1933. That kind of thing> Indeed. Scary times..we have way more examples like 1924, 1938, 64 etc . Regime ruptures. I think Congress makes Trump a bit weak especially with elections coming . They want Trump to react badly to cause a comotion and accuse him of something. This will be all over after election. Either is intentional (I think its 100% electoral move to help Biden) or is not and soon those looters will be crushed as patience of people is running out. |

| Aug-02-20 | | thegoodanarchist: I was watching a youtube video of an ex-vegan talking about how it damaged his health. One of the commenters mentioned 1st Timothy 4, and that veganism is "doctrine of demons". So I reviewed 1st Timothy 4, which I haven't read in ages, and was happy to see that Saint Paul was teaching Timothy the same ways I am trying to uphold in my life (NIV): <1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.>
Things such as "veganism"
<2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars...> (Libs!) <3 They... order (people) to abstain from certain foods...> Animal products! <...which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.> Amen <4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving> Eat even liver, after giving thanks. <7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales;> (old wives' tales such as "meat is unhealthy") <8 For physical training is of some value...> Lift weights! <...but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.> Amen. |

Here's another:
<Israel Folau refuses to kneel during Black Lives Matter protest> https://au.yahoo.com/sports/nrl-202... Israel Folau is a Tongan who played Rugby for Australia and who tweeted that homosexuality was a sin according to the Bible. For that crime against the ideology of Cultural Marxism, he was sacked from the Australian Rugby team, despite being their best player, and exiled to England. Well, now he has further enraged the Marxists by refusing to kneel for Black Lives Matter. <Israel Folau has courted more controversy by refusing to join teammates and opponents in taking a knee to acknowledge the Black Lives Matter movement in Super League’s return on Sunday.> <the biggest talking point of the game came before kick-off when Folau remained standing while the 25 other players on the field and the referee, knelt briefly at Headingley.> <Folau has courted controversy ever since his homophobic comments on social media that saw him sacked by Rugby Australia.> This Christian man refuses to pay homage to the false gods of Cultural Marxism. For that they hate him with a vengeance. He was the only man who remained standing. Everyone else knelt in homage to BLM. This is what we're up against, fellas. We must all pray for the courage Israel Folau has shown when we are put to the test. |

 | | tpstar: <Keyser Soze> The NBA is a terrible example of social justice and affirmative action, with 90% Black players. Instead of celebrating their talent, while downplaying the Race Card, they are making things worse by injecting BLM into their business. (NASCAR just made the same mistake.) One reporter asked about the game, while another asked about the layoff affecting his play, then the rest were social justice inquiries. I have a feeling these franchises are catering to BLM in an attempt to prevent rioting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrD...
<optimal play> I miss the good old days of sports when everything wasn't politicized. One positive effect of the sports shutdown was silencing pro athletes from "making a powerful statement" through social media and the mainstream media. The US women's soccer team really misplayed their success and turned Americans against them, and I predict the backlash for people declining to protest will do the same. |

Certain trolls have been blocked from this forum, so you need not worry about their interference.> It seems that despite my username and political views I am not blocked from here. I have visited the Rogoff forum a couple of times and never felt the need to post. I think it is an exaggeration to say the forum was "taken over" by a specific political/cultural direction - certainly also the opposite viewpoints would be displayed. More problematic is the complete absence of actual debate, it has been a forum for pie-throwing for some time now. And the "libs" have not been the only ones resorting to this, mind you. But you need new Philosophical Thought of the week, otherwise it turns into Thought of the Month, or even the Quarter! |

Such as the boycott by America and some other countries of the 1980 Moscow Olympics following the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, and the subsequent complaints by the athletes and other sports people that sport and politics should be kept separate. Athletes want to keep politics out of sports when it may cost them, but include it in other circumstances when it suits them. They're such hypocrites. |

 | | Troller: <The irony of all this is that sports people used to complain about politics entering into sport!> Larsen commented once that paradoxically it was considered political to <not> participate in an event but is was apolitical to participate. I think it was in connection with 1968 and Prague but I am not sure. All that said, of course elite sports has to do with politics. Football WC is going to be held in Qatar of all places. The country has no football culture and it is one of the worst imaginary locations for the event; with zero sporting arguments for this location it is obviously political. For the individual athlete this can be an annoying fact but then again, everyone knows the paycheck has to come from somewhere. Some are indeed hypocrites but I guess the majority just try to make their way and are mainly focused on the sport, not the politics. |

I'm not familiar with any chess or sporting boycott related to Prague in 1968 but there was the Mexico Olympics that year which saw the "black power salute". Those guys were sent home in disgrace, today they would be lauded. <All that said, of course elite sports has to do with politics. Football WC is going to be held in Qatar of all places. <For the individual athlete this can be an annoying fact but then again, everyone knows the paycheck has to come from somewhere. Some are indeed hypocrites but I guess the majority just try to make their way and are mainly focused on the sport, not the politics.> If the majority are really focused on the sport and not the politics, then there would be far fewer kneeling in homage to BLM. I posted a link to the news story today of Israel Folau as the only person out of two rugby teams who refused to kneel for BLM. Every other player including the referee and officials all knelt. Maybe the majority don't really care and just go along with it, or are afraid to go against the tide. Maybe all they care about at the end of the day is their own career and the money? |
