It's entirely our error for opening betting on a game which wasn't scheduled, but as soon as something is wrong with a bet the most fair thing to do is to cancel all bets and start over. You're right: if this was all real money, somebody would have a full-time job doing nothing but making sure that all of this is done perfectly, and two more people would be employed to double and triple check the first guy. But it's not real money, and chessgames offers this as a small diversion, not as a main feature. We have to just do the best we can with limited resources. Sorry you feel cheated, but like you say, it's just for fun.
