FSR: <MarkFinan: ... Don't mention a bet you class as a money printer because we won't get the wager again.>

Hmm, good point. I was just kidding about that bet being "free money." Actually, I was on the fence about which side of the bet, if either, had the advantage, and was much relieved when "RIGHT" eked out a narrow victory.

Penguincw: Oh, speaking of Pay Day. Does anyone remember receiving Pay Day during the Fall 2014 leg (when <wordfunph> ran it). I know it had to have happened, but I don't quite remember it (there wasn't an announcement for anything either).

FSR: <Penguincw: ... regarding that bet, it's unlikely to come back again, since this special day only occurs once a year.>

The maltreatment and oppression of southpaws is, tragically, not just a once-a-year phenomenon. As you doubtless know all too well, it happens every day of the year. So should this bet. #SouthpawLivesMatter

FSR: Incredible. Now Dubov is just losing. There goes the Pick Three for me. Argghh.

FSR: Jako apparently decided to offer a draw instead of winning because he didn't deserve to win. You don't see that every day.

Penguincw: The payoff has been fixed. If anyone still think there's an error, please mention so. :)
Aug-14-15  MarkFinan: Well I went all in and won 24 cb's. It's better than losing but I expected more. I'll still place higher than Fred though, his fresh bookie luck will run out.

FSR: In your dreams, Mark. Despite my disastrous day, I'm still almost 1,000 cbs ahead of you.

FSR: <ChessBookie> So if one is already an active bettor, one doesn't have to actually place any bets on the 15th in order to get the 1000 cbs bonus, correct?
Aug-14-15

  Chessgames Bookie: <FSR>

Correct. All you need is to place one bet this leg (that didn't get refunded), to get the bonus.

I'm not sure about those placing their first bets of the season on the 15th though (<cg> can worry about that).

Aug-14-15  WinKing: I actually moved up the leaderboard losing almost a 100 chessbucks. If that don't beat all. Thank you Caissa!

The opposite has happened to me before...

Aug-15-15  sydbarrett: I didn't bet on the Riga round. Was too busy sleeping early. But I just bet on Russian round 7. I better get this bonus thingie.

chessgames.com: You've all just been paid 1000 chessbucks. Don't spend it all in one place!

Chessgames Bookie: Even the <Bookie> received a bonus of 1000 cbs! Thanks. :)

< chessgames: Don't spend it all in one place! >

Hey! Don't tell them what to do. ;)

Anyway, with the bonus money, hopefully I can continue to put out lots of bets without regretting it, as much.

Of course, I have four R7 bets for the Russian Superfinal. Not a lot, but I promise I'll have more for the next rounds.

Even though it doesn't start for a week, I put out the winner bet for the Sinquefield Cup. Normally I will make it a multiple-payoff situation, but not here. I'll try to get out all the pre-tournament bets out soon. I see there's already some popularity.

Let's hope for a smooth home stretch.

The winner of the leg will receive a prize worth $29 - one year worth of <cg> membership. ;)

Penguincw: I swear, this is like the 3rd time this tournament that "Draw-White-Draw" won for the P3.

As the Moscow Rules go, "Once is an accident. Twice is coincidence. Three times is an enemy action."
