  moronovich: <Chessgames Bookiely>

I have qualified for the final and should have 10K,but for the moment it is only 1K.Could you please correct that.

Thanks in advance and for running the show.

SwitchingQuylthulg: Everybody still has 1K, I think; as <scout118> noted, we're waiting for the list of qualifiers and the list of prizes.

Chessgames Bookie: Hi <moronovich>! I think <chessgames> is working on it now. They are getting the Championship Leaderboard ready & will announce the prizes for the winners of this leg. :)

  Penguincw: <Bookie>/<WinKing>

Could you also put the official site in the bet description: http://www.tatasteelchess.com/tourn...?

I can't remember how to do it, but I believe the "cheat-sheet" has everything you need to know.

Thanks. :)

Chessgames Bookie: <centralfiles: Has the leg started?>

Not officially yet <centralfiles>. <Chessgames> still has to announce the prizes & get those that qualified set up with their proper funds to start the game. Hopefully sometime today we will be fully set & ready to go.

Jan-14-16  gauer: The ChessBookie Game Help Page rules were suggesting that perhaps not all previous leg qualifiers got the bonus (see p 379 for one leg announcement...). Or are any of the other contestants also missing out? Thanks!

Would it make sense to have the championship leg coincide with the same timeframe schedule that the FIDE calendar uses for their big events: like the world knock-out championship and Olympiad, usually held in the same quarter of alternating years?

Jan-14-16  Ralph Malph: <WinKing/Annie K./Man-in-Charge> If I need to go back to 'Gimp' to receive the bonus I will. It didn't occur to me that one change was okay but a second one wasn't. Sorry. are things okay or not okay?

Annie K.: <gauer> we are all still waiting for our bonuses, it's not just you. :)

<Ralph Malph> just wait a bit... I don't see a problem with your new account personally - you haven't played with more than one account in any leg, AFAIK, and that's what matters - it just looks like things are really REALLY busy for some reason up in adminland. ;s

  chessgames.com: Note:

I gave WinKing the run of the new leg so he could put the bets up. 9000 extra chess bucks will be distributed to all qualificants, the list of which will be posted shortly.

Bets made at this point DO count. I realize that your betting limits are capped until the addition 9000 are released, but that will be rectified before Tata Steel.

Also an announcement will be made regarding the prizes for the Championship leg, along with some photographs :-)

If your name is not on that list that means you didn't finish in the top-10 positions during the last 4 legs. Don't give up hope, people have done miraculous things with only 1000 chessbucks in the previous years!

Prize announcements will be made soon. Good luck!

Jan-15-16  WinKing: Please remove <WinKing> from the list. I will defer(my 10,000 chessbucks) until next year's championship since I am handling the ChessBookie duties. - Thanks <WinKing>

SwitchingQuylthulg: <cg> Excellent, thanks. You'll still have to give <Annie K.> the extra 9K, since she qualified for last year's Winter Leg but was Bookie then.

<WinKing> Time to update the Announcements section?

Annie K.: <WinKing> "Tata Steel 2016 So - Giri" looks like a bet for overall head-to-head score in the tournament (except for the payoff date)... ;)

For clarity, you should put "Round 1" in the bet title.

Also, there is an automatic function that if the title is in the form "xxxxx: yyy - zzz", the program will automatically set up the lines yyy, zzz, and Draw for you - but it's not going to do that if you don't put the colon in the title.

So the title should go something like "Tata Steel Round 1: So - Giri". :)

Jan-15-16  WinKing: Thanks for the tip <Annie K.>. :)

Sneaky: I'm betting on Anish Giri and Wei Yi tomorrow, because they are both too young and inexperienced to know that you're supposed to draw your first round.
