May-01-16  TIMER: <Switchingquylthulg> Thankyou, I always had to be on my guard with you behind me.

<Golden Executive> Thankyou, it never stops feeling good being called that!

<eternaloptimist> Thankyou. It is funny as I was outright last on about -6000 after the first week, so it seems I got all my bad runs out the way early. Then it was basically up all the way.

Chessgames Bookie: I would like to congratulate all those that won prizes. <chessgames> gave out some nice goodies this Championship Leg.

This was an amazing group to work with. You the bettors came to play! The chessbucks were flying from the get go! Thanks for a super exciting Championship leg.

This is <WinKing> signing off until next time.

Penguincw: Excellent job by <WinKing> for being bookie in the longest leg ever. Never easy taking on the Championship leg (or pretty much any leg, for that matter).

Congrats to <TIMER> for being ChessBookie champion, with a record 83,107 cbs, breaking the previous record by <SwitchingQuylthulg> of 80,924 cbs. Interesting to note <TIMER> also holds the unofficial record of <LOWEST> net worth as well of -135,508 cbs in Spring 2008. Also, with this victory, it remains the case that no non-championship leg winner has gone on to win the championship leg that very season. Well, the lone exception is <Barok Espinosa> in Spring 2009.

Although <Switch> "fails" to become the first back-to-back champion (and 3 time champion), he does become the only reigning champ to place in the top 10 in the championship leg following the win (he did it in 2012-13 as well). Congrats to him for hitting top 10 in 5 straight legs he has played in, and good luck hosting the Spring Leg, again. Oh, and this is the 20th time he finished top 10 in a leg.

Other than that, congrats to <4tmac> and <Touch of Knight> for their 6th and 5th championship leg top 10 finish, respectively. Congrats to <centralfiles> for becoming just the 2nd user (<Fredrik>, Spring 2007) for winning the Spring Leg, and finishing top 10 in the following Championship Leg.

Congrats to all the top 10 finishers. Congrats to all 34 qualifiers for achieving history, as this is the first (or second, not sure) time in ChessBookie history, that not a single non-qualifier even managed to place top 12, <ONCE> during a Championship Leg. I think the highest was <TheFocus> (18th?), 9313 cbs, Mar/17/2016. This was all despite receiving Pay Day and a record long leg.

And here are the final standings among non-qualifiers:

eternaloptimist: <TIMER> U r welcome. Wow I didn't know that u rebounded from ~-6,000 c$! I also turned things around but my turnaround pales in comparison to yours. I got down to -2,000+ c$ & moved all the way up to #30 in the rankings as <Penguincw> mentioned in his post.

<Penguincw> That's a nice summary of the leg that u posted! Thx for posting that!

May-05-16  TIMER: My last post I meant I was still waiting like centralfiles as I heard nothing either including no year added.

SwitchingQuylthulg: <TIMER> The other prizes haven't been given out yet, I think; but if you haven't received your free 1-year premium membership, that's a problem. I've asked the admins to look into it.
