  moronovich: Hi <Bookie> !

What about setting up a Pick 3 for the Olympiads ?

Could be done with teams, as well as individual players.

Annie K.: Maybe I'll try it in the later stages, but since different relay sites place different teams first (i.e., chess24 might display a matchup as USA-Ukraine, while ChessBomb shows it as Ukraine-USA), I'm afraid it might cause some confusion.

  moronovich: Thanks for your reply.

Another option for Pick 3,could also be
individual games !? Unless we dont know the line up precisely ):

  moronovich: On a second thought:
I am not shure it means anything how the official match up are listed. If chess24 says USA-Ukraine and the Bookie says Ukraine-USA,it will always be the conkrete result that matters. Or am I missing something ?

A win is a win,is a win,is a win.

Best wishes.

SwitchingQuylthulg: I regularly offered Daily Triples during the previous Olympiad; and the format was always USA/UKR/TIE (or USA/UKR +0.5) rather than 1/X/2, so it didn't matter which team was given first.

I also offered one daily quadruple with four handicap lines... I called it STOMACH, which I think was short for something like Special Tax On MAthematically Challenged Handicapping. :s

Annie K.: <Switch> you're welcome to take the next summer leg, and handicap to your heart's content... ;)

<moronovich> I wish I could put up bets on individual games, but only the team pairings are published early enough for betting purposes. :/

As for the importance of which team is listed first, it's as <Switch> indicated: the solution to avoiding confusion would be to replace White and Black with the actual team names in the bet lines. This involves manual work, whereas the normal pick-3 bets are generated automatically. And I don't know about <Switch>, but I have a day job too. ;p

However, this is obviously what the weekend is for! :)

Chessgames Bookie: Attention, Bookie players - Pay Day will be on September 12!

1000 chessbucks will be added to every active Bookie player account. New players, be sure to place at least one bet before that date to be included. :)

Sep-11-16  gauer: Is there any chance of getting an <exotic> wager special? Maybe a << Nona Gaprindashvili - Cup> winner> (see: http://chess-results.com/tnr232875.... for details) or similar to close out around the time the 11th round starts, which might produce a bit of liberal spending with payday possibly producing higher betting ceilings for some players?!

Speaking of which, is anyone tracking any of the norm-tracking possibilities or category or individual medal winners (go team Canada) still in the running?

WannaBe: I have a question regarding Tal Memorial wagering, we have 3 options, Kramnik's game, Anand's game and a pick 3.

Why aren't the other games listed as wagering proposition? Svidler's game, Anish, and Gelfand?

Or did I post this question too quick, before bookie posted other propositions?

Annie K.: <WannaBe> I want the Pick Three to accumulate a serious pool, so I'm limiting options on purpose. :)
Sep-28-16  wordfunph: amen with <Annie K.>, i have done that strategy and proven effective.

OhioChessFan: I think <Annie> is limiting the number of bets so <Wannabe> doesn't go broke as fast.

Sep-29-16  Mozart72: Where are Li Chao's odds, Admin?
Sep-29-16  Mozart72: The Gelfand-Li Chao match programmed for tomorrow at the Tal Memorial has missing odds for Li Chao. Where are they?

WannaBe: <Mozart72> There's no odd on Li because no on have placed any bet(s) on him.

Also, admin sometimes busy, may not respond immediately. Please be patient. =)

Sep-29-16  Mozart72: Thanks WannaBe.
Sep-29-16  Mozart72: I have a prop bet for you guys. What is the probability that after the Nepomniatchi-Aronian match ther will be more white pieces remaining on the chessboard than black pieces ? Well the probability is 50%, so the true odds are 2:1. What is the probability that their will be less white pieces remaining on the chessboard than black pieces. The probability es 33.33%, so the true odds are 3:1. And what is the probobilty that their will be same number of white pieces and black pieces remaining on the chessboard. The probability is 16.66%. The true odds are 6:1. Make a pick guys.

  OhioChessFan: 50% odds are 1:1
Sep-30-16  Mozart72: Your right, OhioChessFan. My mistake.
Sep-30-16  Mozart72: True odds for white: 1:1, 2:1 and 5:1.
