Annie K.: We are planning to include the Women's World Chess Championship in this leg, and it will probably be the last event to end, so the leg ends with it - follow that spot for details. ;)

In any case, the Carlsen-Karjakin WCC will belong to the next leg.

Annie K.: Hmm, I see now that the Women's WCC is going to be delayed no matter what - ok, scratch that. We'll finish the leg on the 30 of October, with another nice event, the Corsican Circuit - featuring MVL, Anand, Radjabov, Kovalenko and Hou. :)

Oct-19-16  Mozart72: What about the Amir Temur Rapid, Admin.? It's from Oct 18-21, Uzbekistan. Ponomariov (2712), Mamedyarov (2791), Kasimdzhanov (2673) and Gelfand (2753) are the contenders. Are their going to be any bets?
Oct-19-16  Mozart72: And their's also the Hoogeveen Matches from Oct 16-22, 6 games. Short, Hou, Sokolov and Van Foreest are the contenders. The Hoogeveen Open from Oct 15-22, 9 rounds. The Spice Cup from Oct 17-22, 9 rounds. The Chigorin Memorial from Oct 15-23, 9 rounds. And the HWP Haarlem Masters from Oct 15-23, 9 rounds. It would be nice to have the possibility to bet on these tournements, Admin.

Annie K.: <Mozart72> There (not "their", plz) are not going to be bets on Amir Temur, simply because they don't publish next round pairings early enough for any bet to pick up a decent pool.

At the moment we have the Russian Championships running as a high-profile event; adding more lines would just be flooding the market - the bettors' money would go too many ways, resulting in small pools and worse chances to make a profit.

Oct-19-16  centralfiles: dont know if my opinion makes much of a difference but i think we do best when there are several different kinds of bets.
Oct-19-16  centralfiles: i mean bets where there seem to be strong favorites etc... These bets are very hard to make money on.

Annie K.: Suppose you volunteer to run a leg? ;)
Oct-19-16  centralfiles: ;) Im not on consistently enough to do that...

Oct-27-16  scout118: The most anticipated blitz match in history. Why don't we have a line? No offense intended, but let's get it on!

Chessgames Bookie: Note re.: Russian Championship Round 11: Pick Three - since nobody bet on the correct result (White-Black-White), I paid off the only line that had two out of three results right, White-Draw-White, as per site policy.

Also, I see the Corsican Circuit finals started earlier than originally announced, so that bet will close soon - still a few minutes left. :)

With all due respect. this absolutely doesn't make any sense. You should refund all bets, make everyone whole and void the undeserved rewards for the non-winners!

OhioChessFan: This is fair and compararable to real life. If nobody hits a Pick 6 the track pays off to those who had 5 right.

Real life? What kind of stupid argument is this from a non-contender? This isn't the Lotto or the OTB. The rules are clear and it is implied that when no one hits a bet, all bettors are refunded or carried over if practical. False jackpots for non-winners should be voided, as simple as that, wouldn't you agree?

Apologies in advance to Annie K. I know the bookie is a volunteer position & apprec your extra job.

Cheers to all.
