Sep-14-17
 | | FSR: Svidler, So, Rapport, MVL, and Fedoseev win in tiebreaks, advance. https://chess24.com/en/watch/live-t... |
Sep-21-17
 | | FSR: Ironically, MVL played Aroniasly, so Aronian won! |
Sep-22-17
 | | Sneaky: Call me crazy but I'm risking a sure-fire cruise into qualifications for a risky all-in bet. If I'm at the top of the list, you know it worked. If I'm not on the list, it didn't. |
Sep-22-17
 | | WannaBe: <Sneaky> You crazy. =) I have to go with my Asian Brotha, go Ding. 200cb. |
| Sep-22-17 | | gauer: http://chess-results.com/tnr297049.... (WYCC U-14 open, not its own page yet, but some player ids exist currently in our database): does young Dambasuren Batsuren (Mongolia) continue his 6-game winning streak to the 7th (starting again this afternoon) round or past, or possibly go unbeaten any longer(he's currently the highest scoring player of the top 6 sections)? USA WIM Annie Wang drew in the WYCC 2017 U-16(w) group, ending her streak of wins, but does she go unbeaten or does someone else win her group? PGN and and other links are on their sites. Just thought I'd try to help y'all find some more juice (see glossary) to squeeze for the edge of this leg. Perhaps it's not as exciting as the other 2 tournaments, but ends in Uruguay before the end of the month. Ben Johnson https://www.perpetualchesspod.com/a... mentioned the 2017 Cadets' WYCC section in a talk with their USA coach, along with some mention of the Kovalyov dress code chatter this week as well, but these six sections are strictly U18, U16 and U14 (+women's of each) groups. India, USA, Russia, Brazil, Uruguay, Canada, etc had some of the largest attendees this time around. Thanks for all the exciting bets this time around, and perhaps a couple of other tid tournament pages may appear here soon as well! |
| Sep-22-17 | | wordfunph: craving for more World Cup activities... Ding-Aronian opening, scores in 4 classical games, tiebreaker necessary, etc. thanks |
Sep-23-17
 | | FSR: Looks like MVL isn't playing at Isle of Man, so his line should be cancelled. |
Sep-23-17
 | | Annie K.: <gauer> sorry, I'm not covering minor events in the Bookie game. Daniel may be interested in uploading the games, of course. :) <FSR> done.
<wordfunph> there's going to be plenty of action to cover in IoM - no need to try and squeeze water out of the stone in the World Cup final. |
| Sep-25-17 | | sydbarrett: I was in jail for 4 days due to a mistake. Glad I'm still in the lead despite not being able to place bets during the interim. |
Sep-26-17
 | | FSR: Kasimdzhanov-Carlsen, Shirov-Anand, Grandelius-Caruana, Nakamura-Sethuraman, and Tari-Adams all drawn. http://www.chessdom.com/isle-of-man... Thank goodness there are no bets involving Praggnanandhaa. |

Sep-27-17
 | | Sneaky: Noooooooooooo!!!!!!! Ding, I had faith in you!!!!! |
| Sep-27-17 | | HowDoesTheHorsieMove: <Sneaky>So you're the reason Ding was actually favored. I thought that was a little odd. Well, easy money for me! |
| Sep-27-17 | | sydbarrett: In the end, my friends, all your money belongs to me |
Sep-27-17
 | | FSR: Eljanov beat Kasim. Lenderman and Vidit Santosh drew. Caruana beat Xiong. Anand and Grandelius drew. Sargissian lost to Nakamura (White, Draw, Black). http://www.chessdom.com/isle-of-man... |

Sep-27-17
 | | FSR: <Sneaky: Noooooooooooo!!!!!!! Ding, I had faith in you!!!!!> Me too. Though not as much as you did. :-( |
Sep-30-17
 | | FSR: I'm in ninth place. If the ChessBookie game ended right now, I'd achieve the unprecedented feat of finishing ninth in three consecutive legs of the game! But, having fallen from third to ninth, can I hang on? The world waits with bated breath. |
Sep-30-17
 | | moronovich: Acording to Lennon,"Cloud Nine" is fine.
Thumbs up for you <FSR> ! |
Oct-01-17

Oct-01-17
 | | WannaBe: There must be some accounting error, I did not finish in the top 5, again. |
Oct-01-17
 | | moronovich: Thanks once again for running the show
<Annie K.> ! |
Oct-01-17

Oct-01-17
 | | FSR: Looks like I finished seventh - thus failing in my historic quest to finish ninth in three consecutive legs. |
