Mar-10-19  Dr Winston OBoogie: <Chessgames Bookie: I am contemplating putting up a 'Pick 4' bet, *The Beast*, sometime during the U.S. Championship tournament. No promises just pondering the idea. ;)>

I think Annie did that once. Well I hope you do, someone could come out of nowhere and win it! If I can win 2k from a 10 cb P3 wager, anyone could pick up 10k with a P4 winner.

It's not over yet, Morf! Good luck :)

Chessgames Bookie: Congratulations to GM Xiong on winning the Spring Chess Classic A tournament 2019 with a score of 6/9. He defeated GM Robson in the final round.
Mar-11-19  morfishine: <Dr Winston OBoogie...It's not over yet, Morf! Good luck :)> You bet your bottom dollar it aint over. I've hit one 9,000 winning wager and 2X 7,000 winning wagers, so anything can happen and anyone with any CB's can win this thing.

Mar-12-19  wordfunph: alright <CGB>, race is getting interesting for the 2nd spot :)

amigo <moronovich>, what's your feeling up there?

Mar-12-19  morfishine: <wordfunph> Don't be so negative, there's still the remaining games of this tournament and then the US Championships

This race is not for 2nd spot since there's plenty of action left

Wonderful showing My dear <moronovich>! A most formidable showing

Mar-12-19  wordfunph: <morf> i'm just kidding, have u seen the emoticon at the end? don't get too serious hehehe.. i know the race is still open.

Annie K.: <♕ Bettors and Worse, your attention please... ♕>

The recently announced Gashimov Memorial (aka Shamkir Chess https://shamkirchess.com/), scheduled to take place between March 30 and April 9, is going to be a very strong event.

If we ended the Championship Leg with the end of the US Championship, as originally planned, given the necessary break between legs, the Bookie wouldn't be able to cover it. Therefore, I asked, and <WinKing> graciously consented, to include the event in this leg. The Championship Leg is now scheduled to end on April 9th.

Good luck to everybody!

Mar-13-19  morfishine: Great <Annie K.>! Are we within an imminent pay cycle day?

Annie K.: PayDay happens once a leg, and we've already had it in February.

I am not shure this is fair to the players. At least my play recently has relied on the US Championship being the final tournament.

Mar-13-19  wordfunph: i concur with <moronovich>.
Mar-13-19  wordfunph: <Dr Winston OBoogie: I'm on your heels, Mr Funph :)>

Doc, i'm waiting for your harakiri stride :)

Mar-14-19  morfishine: I agree with <moronovich> stuff shouldn't be changed mid stream

beatgiant: Not saying it's fair, but I think events have often been added mid stream, including the Gashimov itself in last year's Championship Leg, if I remember right.

If so, probably it would be a good idea to state in the upcoming events list that it's not guaranteed to be complete.

Now, is the Gashimov in or out? Everyone's risk tolerance level depends on this ;-)

I see 3-4 posts with a simple objection.
Is that an awful lot ? Or perhaps your ignore list is shorter than mine ?

Mar-14-19  wordfunph: just like in chess, when you touched a piece you should move it and be a gentleman.

this case is a total embarrassment to Chesshames Bookie.

When you're a bookie, the pay is nothing, the work is thankless, and you have a hard-boiled image to live up to.
