Chnebelgrind: Hi moro. Is the leg completed? I had tremendous luck. I have always set all the bucks I had available. On Sunday I lost five thousand points and then sank everything on the card "Wang Hao", on whose victory I had set 39 points the other day and won miraculously.

moronovich: Yes <Chnebelgrind> ,the leg is completed and the winner is you :)

We call you the yo yo man..

I would have won if there has been a winner in Robson-Anand.

But see you at the final and enjoy the moment !

Chnebelgrind: <moronovich> <wordfunph> <Count Wedgemore> <WinKing> Thanks for the congratulations and the nice words. I always try to make reputable bets considering probabilities and odds. If that does not work, I put everything on a card at the end. In 99% of cases, this fails. But sometimes ...

eternaloptimist: Congrats to everyone who finished in the top 10 & especially Chnebelgrind! <Chnebelgrind> U made 1 amazing comeback to win this leg!! In fact I think I remember u being in the negative. I must say job well done sir. <moronovich> Indeed he is the yo-yo man! Another yo-yo man was SwitchingQuylthulg, who unfortunately no longer visits CG b/c he got disillusioned w/ some of the ppl who frequent CG. He was definitely 1 of the best of all time at playing ChessBookie & perhaps he was the best. I wish he would reconsider & start frequenting CG again. <Annie K.> Thanks for doing a great job of being the Bookie
Oct-24-19  wordfunph: <eternaloptimist>, yes that's right.

before the final round, <Chnebelgrind> and i were exactly tied at 74th place with -661 chessbucks.

again, hats off to my chessbookie mentor <Chnebelgrind> who won this leg in grandeur from cellar to numero uno.

eternaloptimist: <wordfunph> Actually I just saw your previous kibitz that pointed out that he was in the negative & that u guys were tied...very interesting indeed. I sure wish u would do another “ChessBookie Big Wigs” for us again & post the total # of top 10 finishes, total # of leg wins etc.. U did an excellent job of that the last time that u did that! I know that it takes time to do that but it’s entertaining to see the history of ChessBookie unfolding before us. Getting back to Switchy Q, it’s interesting that the last time that he was “seen” on CG was the last day of last year. It’s like he had his exit all mapped out.: User: SwitchingQuylthulg
Oct-24-19  wordfunph: <eternaloptimist> lesson here is never ever underestimate cellardwellers like me and newly-crowned champ <Chnebelgrind>. Maybe Pick3 was the key, let's hear from <Chnebelgrind>.

on "ChessBookie Big Wigs", no promises but i will try. Thanks for the appreciation.

big thanks to this leg's ChessBookie Master, i experienced and understand how laborious to host such event :)

Chnebelgrind: Many thanks to <chessgames.com> and <Annie K> and whoever made this game possible with his work. And thanks for the year free Membership.

<eternaloptimist>, <wordfunph>: How did I jump from -661 to +7948 on the last day? There were two missions. 39 out of 52 bucks, all set to a win by Wang Hao at the Grand Swiss, came from me. I also had Vitiagov, Matlakov and others in my portfolio, but not Carlsen, Caruana, Aronian, Nakamura, etc. After the debacle on the second last day, I saw that only a win by Wang Hao could save me. So in the last pick3 I put 1000 bucks on white draw draw. Someone else had already set 1000 (WinKing?), But it was my only small chance. The rest is known.

Oct-26-19  WinKing: <Chnebelgrind: So in the last pick3 I put 1000 bucks on white draw draw. Someone else had already set 1000 (WinKing?), But it was my only small chance. The rest is known.>

No that wasn't me <Chnebelgrind>. I'm pretty sure I only had 100 chessbucks on, white draw draw, the final pick 3.
