 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Wilson> believe it or not, I watched half of <Dominion> and it actually calmed me down enought to sleep after the <Rob Zombie>. <Dominion> is not boring, I liked the first half a lot. But you know.... that dang <Zombie> movie is deleriously horrific. |
|
| May-31-07 | | chessmoron: slomarko screaming 'impostor' is a desperation call. |
|
May-31-07
 | | jessicafischerqueen: OH and I forgot.
I'm actually <Blako> rather than <bill>. I may be <Bill> as well, for all I know. Regards,
CC |
|
| May-31-07 | | chessmoron: Listen to Rob Zombie's music and his film. Your head is going to EXPLODE!!! |
|
May-31-07
 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Wilson> heh.
What is your review of <House of 1000 Corpses>? I think it is the scariest film I ever saw so far.
Would love to hear more of your opinion on it. |
|
May-31-07
 | | jessicafischerqueen: JINX! |
|
| May-31-07 | | chessmoron: <Blako>, <bill>, <jess>, <IOB>, <SOB>. Make no difference for me. |
|
May-31-07
 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Wilson> hmmm. I could say something, but I promised not to!! (will keep promise)
Best, Bill |

 | | Domdaniel: So, how've them Candy Dates Matches been doing? I've only seen bare results so far. Any games worth looking at? |
|
| May-31-07 | | chessmoron: Extreme gore but not a lot of wit in the movie. Fun but okay. |
|
May-31-07
 | | Domdaniel: <Jessica Whistler Shaw>
You will. |
|
May-31-07
 | | jessicafischerqueen: I wish I'd said that
Check out <Magnus Dei> <Ironing> II It was <game of the day> yesterday, and for good reason Ask <Eyal> for full report, he has watched and analyzed many of the games so far |
|

 | | jessicafischerqueen: Nicely done as usual, <Dom>, compressing two posts into one answer. <Oscar the blabbermouth> |
|

 | | Domdaniel: <Jess> But I *am* the rightful heir to the English throne. So is everyone else in Britain, Ireland, Canada, and the other colonies. And double rightful for everyone in Jamaica. Jah Windsor! |
|
May-31-07
 | | jessicafischerqueen: <Wilson> thanks for the <Rob> review. In your opinion, for you, what are top 3 films that <scared you> the most? |
|
May-31-07
 | | jessicafischerqueen: Well you've done it again <Dominus>. You've got both of the kibbutzers who were trying to catch your <number three> spot spamming in YOUR forum now. How DO you do it? |
|
May-31-07
 | | Domdaniel: <Jess> Aye, lass, I don't often compress, but when I does compress, I compresses good and proper... gdnprpr. |
|
May-31-07
 | | Domdaniel: Animal magnetism. Specific gravity. Luck. I dunno, rilly. |

 | | Domdaniel: <3 scary movies>
1. The Man with the X-Ray Eyes
(no idea why, but it made me hide behind the seat when I was a kid...) 2. Dead Ringers
(another seat story -- I stayed stuck in it for 10 minutes when the cinema lights came up -- terrifying) 3. Silence of the Lambs
(not really that scary, I thought -- but the 2nd time I saw it in a cinema I got bored and leaned forward during a tense Lecterish moment to tap the shoulder of a friend in the row in front... she lifted off, rising vertically several feet into the air with a shriek of anguish...) |
|
| May-31-07 | | Eyal: <Dom> Welcome back. About the matches: Aronian-Carlsen is very interesting (as expected) - a brilliant win by Aronian on game 1 and by Carlsen on game 3. And so far there were several French games in Adams-Shirov and Leko-Gurevich. |
|

 | | Domdaniel: <Eyal> Thanks -- I'll go look at some now... I thought I was getting *too* dependent on Fritz etc -- it's ages since I'd even played through a game without running an engine simultaneously -- so during my latest hiatus I made a point of playing thru games slowly the old-fashioned way. Quite enlightening, really ... though my instinct is still to 'verify' my findings with an engine. I also decided that *all* narratives are open -- if you just find the right way of looking at them. But that's a delusion, and will undoubtedly pass... |
|
| May-31-07 | | WBP: Just looking in for a moment--off to a party.
See how smoothly things run, <Dom>, when you're at the helm? But here's a question that's been bothering me for several months now. Why is <Wilson> called <Wilson>? |
|
May-31-07
 | | jessicafischerqueen: He is actually <Wilson Pickett> |
|
| May-31-07 | | WBP: Thanks, <Jess>. (A very tall Wilson Pickett!) Off to the party! |
|
| May-31-07 | | achieve: <Domdaniel: Evening, all.
Thanks for that water, Mr. Lark. I needed that.
My apologies, folks. As Mr Dylan sez, I hadda go to the woods for a while. That's probably some kinda metaphor. In practice, I just went a few days without turning a computer on, to see what it was like. I passed the time by reading, writing, and -- hadn't done this for years -- playing through chess games the old-fashioned way, on a board. But I missed you all. So I came back.
I suspect that *everyone* here is nicer than I am, but never mind ... Thanks for keeping the place operational, btw.> I kinda like that post very much..
Though we're all at arm's length, there is nothing like a friendly word from the <Dom>. I hope all's well with you.
Use "your" findings separately from an engine's. That way you can beat a World CC Champion as has been shown. <Jess> had me in her pocket as you might well have understood.. ;-) |
