 | | Domdaniel: <almost everyone> is one of your slightly less-growed-up relatives, <Ev>. But watch out: the varmints shoot up overnight, and you may become known as *almost everyone's shorter sibling*. What I wanna know is, what's Claw Spamming and why I dream of giant cloned lobsters. |

 | | Domdaniel: Current reading includes two books from that hilarious genre, the How-Not-To book. Viz, <How Not to Play Chess> by Znosko-Borovsky, and <How Not to Write a Novel> by Newman and Mittelmark. Examples of people doing stuff badly being much funnier than examples of people doing stuff well -- which, in any case, you don't need a special how-to book for. Just check out a GM game or a decent novel. <Though it seemed as if Jason had ever been among the ones favored if ever there was one, no.> Which reminds me: I found a beautiful line of accidental poetry on a news website following Ghaddafi's death. Some - possibly African - person who had been one of his fans wrote: *Africa's champion is death*.
Too true, sadly. |

|

 | | Domdaniel: <catsfaith> Not old pizza-face Freddy Kruger, surely? I remember when Wes Craven invented him, but it was lifetimes ago. I even, at the time, gave the first Nightmare movie a glowing review, because it didn't blatantly signal shifts between dreamtime and 'real' time, like other moves did. That's Claw Spamming? It's like being told that C. Spamming was the bad guy in Casablanca. Or a star from the silent era. *intertitle*
<"I have you now, girlie", croaked the evil Claw Spamming as his twisted fingers groped Miss Mabuse's laptop.> |
|
| Oct-22-11 | | catsfaith: <Domdaniel> Appear a mistake, offer sorry for wrong information regards claw spamming, Thanh's diatribe was from online gaming, http://youtu.be/2BG9PFDsbCQ link her send for clarify |

 | | Domdaniel: <cats> Ah well, that's different, isn't it? There are people who think I belong to the world of online gaming myself, as a 'domdaniel' is a bad guy in some such game. *intertitle*
<"My uncle, Der Spieler, will *kill* you for this" hissed Miss Mabuse.> Claw Spamming, features contorted in a mask of terror, turns to flee. Suddenly, a giant roulette wheel cuts him in two.
"Looks like it came up red", said Miss Mabuse. |

 | | Domdaniel: <How Not To ...> Of course, there are many examples out there of idiots doing things idiotically. It has even led to its own genre of TV shows ... <Ouattalemming plans to steal a sheep, but fails to notice that the object of his ovine lusts is actually Inspector Batchimeg of the Ulan Bator sheep-stealing undercover squad. Yes, Ouattalemming is due for a guest slot on ... Outer Mongolia's Dumbest Criminals.> |

 | | jessicafischerqueen: New forum title?
Relax big fella it's not as bad as all that. Actually, of all 20,000 previous forum titles, I thought <Antarctica> was most appropriate. "There'll always be a Frogspawn"
--Margaret Thatcher |

 | | Domdaniel: Ouattalemming got a suspended sentence for that one. He'd stolen rats before, but the sheep job was his first attempt to break into the international food chain. The authorities took pity on him, but his days as a big-time crook were over. The next time a sheep needed to be stolen, he was lucky to land a job as the *getaway drover*. |
|
Oct-22-11
 | | Domdaniel: <Jess> Just a temporary loss of perspective, is all. Normal service will be resumed as soon as I get Inspector Batchimeg out of the sheepdog costume and back into uniform ... Hang on, though. Maybe it *is* that bad? |

Oct-22-11
 | | Domdaniel: Ackshully - and quite by coincidence - there's very nearly a brilliant cryptic crossword clue in the new forum title. End of Frogspawn (as) We Know it. (4)
Take the end of each word, it spells N - E - W - T.
Which is the end of frogspawn, kinda. |

The end of Newt? http://www.progressivepuppy.com/.a/... |

Oct-23-11
 | | Domdaniel: <Joerg> The usual line is "when you're in a hole, stop digging". I normally welcome excavations of all kinds, but I don't want the Goldsby war in this forum. So - as an old WW1 slogan had it - "If you know a better hole, go to it". |
|
Oct-23-11
 | | Domdaniel: <Ohio> Didn't somebody on another page prove that Newt was a blood-sucking vampire, and thus immortal as long as he had his fangs drenched in Gore? In a manner of speaking. |

 | | LIFE Master AJ: I consider you a friend, so I was sharing a bit of personal news with you. (Not a big deal, really.) What I don't appreciate is for someone to drag the flame-ware in here.
---> Its just plain wrong.
By the way, "you-know-who" is up to his old tricks. He has got yet another new identity on YT, and is smearing me again. (And - this time - I have saved everything, so if some yahoo asks for proof, I have that too.) |
|
Oct-23-11
 | | Domdaniel: <AJ> It is *bloody* tiresome and tedious, is it not, having to do all that file-saving evidence-keeping stuff - which would never even occur to me normally - all because some psychotic maniac with a head full of grudges and a chip on every shoulder is stalking us thru cyberspace. Of course, it's ancient lore that annoying and irritating folk is the troll's greatest desire, and they should on no account be fed, etc. But that idiot lemming is really starting to piss me off. It has been suggested that the forces of law and order in his home town might be alerted. It seems like a better idea every day. |

Time for some Solipsism, I reckon. |

 | | LIFE Master AJ: Dom:
A friend of mine - who practically lives on YT - I asked him about JFQ's (completely false) claim that no one polices that site. (He is not really a chess player, he used to live next door to me when I lived in the "Sun-Runner" complex, I moved from there in 2007.) His opinion is there there is a "Gestapo" over there, (his words, not mine); and he cited several examples of things that get routinely pulled on "You-Tube." #1.) Anything pornographic.
#2.) Anything with just about any kind of nudity.
#3.) ANY trailers for up-coming movies.
#4.) Any (current? i personally have seen a lot of older stuff) vids (MUSIC VIDEO's) for artists that have just been recently released. #5.) Graphic violence often gets pulled ... even if its just a scene from a movie. #6.) Even political debates have been pulled, apparently, you need permission to post those as well. I could give you dozens of links, (my friend claims to have like 50 uploads pulled - and he has a list); but just one should suffice. https://www.youtube.com/user/superf.... |

Oct-24-11
 | | Domdaniel: <AJ> I don't know much about YouChoob, but I've seen stuff come and go. If somebody has an opinion you disagree with - even regarding a matter of fact - it may be an honest mistake, a different perspective, etc. Words like "completely false claim" are rarely helpful. |
|

 | | Domdaniel: <Ohio> Me too. But I was merely trying to treat AJ like a human being. Not a crime, is it? |
