 | | Domdaniel: <H> Nah, nobody writes likes Gene. But moving to Ireland can do wonders for your shagging vocabulary. "Shagging? Snogging? What *are* these, some kinda rodent sex words?" |

| Apr-02-13 | | vwllssknght: Hey, Domdaniel, I see that you mentioned a zine by the name of Zilch in one of your comments. Would that, by chance, by the comic zine that was published in Ireland in the early '80s? I'm a longtime collector of Irish comics and am writing a reference guide to them. If you wouldn't mind answering a few simple questions to help me fill in the blanks, I would appreciate it! You can e-mail me at comixbible@gmail.com |

| Apr-04-13 | | hms123: <Dom> I just finished <Borderlands> by Brian McGilloway and am now reading <Gallows Lane>. The books are quite good. |
May-18-13
 | | Domdaniel: OK, I'm kinda back, testing whether my connection works ... |
May-18-13
 | | Annie K.: Yep!!! :D |
May-18-13
 | | OhioChessFan: Have you seen a doctor about it? |
May-18-13
 | | Annie K.: Oh, <Ohio>, you ask the mostest appositest questions! :D Or, in other words...

| May-18-13 | | dakgootje: Welcome back dom :) |
| May-18-13 | | N0B0DY: Why are we here, that is the question. And we are blessed in this, that we happen to know the answer. Yes, in this immense confusion one thing alone is clear. We are waiting for <Dom> to come. |
| May-18-13 | | hms123: Waiting for <GDomO>. I knew he'd be here sometime soon. |
May-19-13
 | | Domdaniel: <Ohio> Yes, ackshully, I have. But the doc isn't saying anything. |
May-19-13
 | | Domdaniel: <H> 'Soon' is, of course, a relative term. The sun will burn out 'soon'. I'll be back a little after that. |
| May-19-13 | | Alien Math: Glad to note your return <Domdaniel> :) Have find any neat books since? |
May-21-13
 | | Domdaniel: <Alien Math> Yes indeed. I suggest Equations of Life, and Theories of Flight by Simon Morden, plus a couple of later sequels. |
May-21-13
 | | Annie K.: OK, in case you need a restarter topic, "what are your first impressions* upon returning to cg after all this, I mean brief of course, time?" * Should you feel any tweezerish urges, don't bother to resist them. ;) |
| May-23-13 | | Alien Math: Thank you, hope to find them in near used book store, they able to help call other stores if not find, take care |
May-30-13
 | | Domdaniel: <Annie> My first impression is that nothing changes. As this is almost certainly wrong, it will be replaced in due course by my 2nd impression. |
May-30-13
 | | Domdaniel: <Alien Math> Also, the incredible M. John Harrison. His SF novel, Light, published about ten years ago, was amazingly brilliant. Now there are two sequels, also superb -- Nova Swing, and Empty Space. |
May-30-13
 | | Annie K.: Sounds like a very reasonable plan. =) |
May-31-13
 | | Domdaniel: Hey ho. Walking down the street near my apartment, I bump into Tony, another member of my chess team. I'd missed the last couple of matches, and he filled me in. We discussed opponents and queens en prise and traps and opening strategies and the difficulty of playing endgames well and the many things that can go wrong... It all helps to draw me back in to the Chessworld. |
May-31-13
 | | Domdaniel: Note: if <cohare> is still around ... sorry, C, I lost your email address. And it is really long past time I got in touch. Apologies, and if you see this please send/post a reminder. |
| May-31-13 | | hms123: <Dom> You need to keep an <eye> on things: Domdaniel chessforum |
| Jun-01-13 | | Alien Math: <Domdaniel> Many thanks for suggestions, love some worlds writers create, appear that best place for book findings are used bookstores, holds entire herds of books not published again |
Jun-01-13
 | | Domdaniel: <H> and <A>: thank you both for digging in Frogspawn past. And yes, I *should* know how to do that by now ... Maybe I'm just incorrigibly lazy. |
