<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

  OhioChessFan: All right. One more time I come to this site and on recent kibitzing see the AJ spitechecks going back and forth. I really don't need it. At some point, you have to add up the positives and negatives and come to a conclusion. I am beginning to think the negatives are winning on this site.

  Annie K.: <Ohio> anything posted to any game page in which one of the players is AJ, is not worth reading any further than the name - try this approach, I think your enjoyment of the site will improve significantly. There is still much left worth hanging around here for. :)

  OhioChessFan: Why can't people disagree, call each other a name or two, and then be done with it. Then you can laugh at each other at the Borin Topic or Odd Lie page, and start over with a clean slate the next day.

<A giant cache of nearly 20,000 fossil reptiles, shellfish and a host of other prehistoric creatures unearthed from a mountain in China is now revealing how life recovered after the most devastating mass extinction on Earth. >

Hmmm. I wonder what caused that. I am especially curious how high on the mountain the fossils were found. I haven't been able to find that yet.

<A smattering of fossil land plants suggest this marine community lived near a conifer forest. >

I wonder what else that could suggest. Is it possible the marine community flooded the forest community?

<"The importance of the discovery that ecosystems took 10 million years to recover completely reflects the unequalled severity of the event," Benton said. >

Unequalled severity, they say. Well, God did promise to never send a flood of water on the earth again. I'm just saying.

  OhioChessFan: <On other note, couple of people besides me did support <colonel's> post . Why dont you go after them as well?>

I politely asked you if you'd like to discuss it. I thought we could have a reasonable discussion about the matter. I always give people a chance to conduct a discussion on an adult level. You quickly proved that wasn't possible.

You don't want to be dragged onto Rogoff. You won't discuss it on your forum. You won't discuss it here. Of course, it all started when I <asked> if you'd like to discuss it, and you agreed. Now that I have won the argument, and you know it, deny it all you want, you've turned to these schoolyard explanations how you never wanted to discuss it in the first place.

  OhioChessFan: <OhioChessFan: So either discussions of religion should be private, or not. Which is it? So it should be a matter you can pass judgment on, or not. Which is it? You've played both sides of both questions on this very page and seem oblivious to that. There's a word for people like that, and it starts with h.>

<KKDEREK: Ok, muffin, I will answer you: I think <should> be private. You don't see <ME > defending republicans, democrats , atheists or whatever here on CG's..But since that kind of discussions <exists> I sometimes like to see whats going on over there, and basically I didn't liked the way colonel was treated on other kibitzer forum.. And I <privately> ON COLONEL'S FORUM gave him my support not just for <his views>, but because I felt he was mistreated unjustified by a religious guy like yourself. But in pricnipe yes , the Rogoff's page doesn't have nothing to do with Chess and should not exist..

I know you have strong disagreements with <colonel> on those matters, but Its not my problem. Everybody should mind their own business..You guys like to discuss all day on Rogoffs? Be my guets , is not my favorite place anyway..

So, as you see, I acted <privately> talking to him on <his forum>, as you are doing now talking to me here....And If you want to <know> since you are here breaking my balls , I would say, I disagrees with 99% with your political and religious views. You a boring old man. Im sorry my loving <Elvis> cover your posts.. Hypocrite? You kidding right? After <AJ> you are considered the most hypocritical person on this site. I saw myself about half dozen people mocking at you..And you know why..You are just a sophist who loves an argument, but you not going to have here, ok? I think I was clear enough this time.. Goodbye and good look with your preaching.. >

  OhioChessFan: <KKDEREK: And I <privately> ON COLONEL'S FORUM gave him my support not just for <his views>, >

<OhioChessFan: That's unique. A cyber forum = "private" in your mind. It's only accessible by a few billion people, but it's private. Got it.>

<KKD: but because I felt he was mistreated unjustified by a religious guy like yourself. >

<OCF: How was he mistreated by me, exactly? Please quote me. Here's a hint. I haven't said a word to him in about a year. >

<KKD: I would say, I disagrees with 99% with your political and religious views. You a boring old man>

<OCF: I have no problem with that.>

<KKD:Hypocrite? You kidding right?>

<OCF: You are, and, no, I'm not. What a self serving distinction of what is "private". The Rogoff page on Chessgames.com isn't private, but a forum is. Seriously, can't you do any better than that?>

  OhioChessFan: <KKD: but because I felt he was mistreated unjustified by a religious guy like yourself. >

<OCF: Looking at that again, I realize you might mean a different person, who is like me. >

<KKD: After <AJ> you are considered the most hypocritical person on this site.>

<OCF: Could you cite some specific examples for that charge, like I've done? Thanks. >

  OhioChessFan: I couldn't decide if I was sorry for calling you a hypocrite. I might well do that again with the same set of circumstances. Perhaps "double standard" doesn't come off so harsh. Anyway, I wasn't particularly concerned about anything you might have called me. And I thank you for your kindness expressed above and am very impressed by it.

Nov-07-11  Colonel Mortimer: Although I don't agree with <OCF> politically, there's no "parody" or comparison when it comes to <puppet master AJ>. He's clearly in a Punch and Judy of his own, and of his own making.
