<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

Oct-18-13  capafan: <14...Qd7 15 Qf3 Nb4 .

Do you dislike this for some reason?>

<Tiggler>I do not have total confidence in the a-pawn sacrificial line...I do not believe the a-pawn's value in the endgame, with both King's castled on the queenside, is substantive sufficiently to provide a win. Qd5 may not be better substantially, but is simply an alternative to be explored.

Oct-18-13  capafan: <10.Nge2 d4 11.Ne4 Nxe4 12.Bxe4 Bd5 13.Ng3 Bxe4 14.Nxe4 <Qd5> 15.Qf3 O-O-O 16.O-O-O Kb8 17.Kb1>

I posted this line earlier as an alternative to 14...Qd7. An alternative to 15...Qf3 in the above line would be 15....Rd8 and if 16.0-0-0 then 16...a5.

Oct-18-13  capafan: <cormier> had on the main page:

<3. = (-0.24): 14...Qd5 15.Qf3 Rd8 16.0-0-0 a5 17.c4 Qe6 18.a4 0-0 19.Qf5 b6 20.Kb1 Qxf5 21.gxf5 Kh7 22.h4 g6 23.fxg6+ fxg6 24.Rdg1 Rf3 25.Rg2 Rdf8 26.Rhg1 Rg8 27.Rh1 Kg7 28.Rg4 Kf7 29.h5 g5 30.Rg3 Rxg3>

Better for Black here is 17...Qd7:

A fantasy line would involve playing Nb4...d3...Nc2, after it has been adequately prepared. The BN could not be driven away by the WDSB nor easily by the WN (it would have to go to e1). d3 by white to prevent this forever locks away the WDSB.

Please pardon a brief interruption of the important WORLD will beat GM Williams analysis for a brief message to our host:

Yet another example of your inveterate civility, a quality you share with our good friend <Lee>.

It never goes unnoticed, at least not by me.

Nov-12-13  MarkFinan: Hey Elvis. I appreciate you telling focus about himself, and I'm sorry if he now starts attacking you like he has Rogge. I don't think he realizes what a fool he's made of himself, especially ringing AJ! If he did that "for the benefit of the site" then he should be saying "no more arguing from me ", as opposed to following me around, or even worse... following me around quoting the rules whilst breaking them himself! Sometimes irony can get lost on an idiot!

OhioChessFan: Well, I said what I said. I did it better second time around. What he does with it is up to him. I don't plan to continue. When there are problems among people, someone has to be the first to stop.
Nov-13-13  MarkFinan: You're right there. Someone has to stop first and I don't think even he knows what he wants to do! Yesterday he began acting stranger than normal by constantly following me from forum to forum, anyways he said something like "let's take this to my forum", so I started to ignore him, and when I logged in this morning he'd deleted the 6 consecutive posts in his forum, and told robed.bishop that he'll now place me on ignore because he's always "respected his wise counsel" !!! I seriously think he needs a break from here and I genuinely think he's had some kind of breakdown. When I did actually say I felt a bit sorry for him he just said something like "do you want a hanky for the tears!" So how can I show him any sympathy after that?? And he said he's glad he was the one who got me probation! He once told AJ, no mercy no quarter. So after showing him mercy and sympathy he just threw it back in my face. I don't want to be the one to tell him to take a break because he won't listen, and his "I'm hard...... honestly" act won't allow his ego to take such a massive blow, but I think someone should speak to him. Anyways, peace out Elvis ✌

Sorry to be so late, but I really really loved this "Vince Anti-Gill Net Fishing Lobby":

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwmG...

Very much in line with the <Hank Snow>, and also you know Elvis had more than a little of this kind of feel and presentation in many of his songs as well.

Here is some "anti-screwhead" country Elvis for you and your colleagues. My Dad loved this song as well:
