<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

For me, that 500MB is not quite enough, I average about 1G per month, since I use my phone as hot spot and tether my iPad (WiFi only version) to it.

As of right now (9 days of use) I am up to 289MB of data usage. But it may be enough for you. Just FYI.

I just now finished the first paragraph of Game Collection: WCC: Botvinnik-Bronstein 1951, so it's open for editing suggestions, whenever the editing muse strikes you next.

  WCC Editing Project: Good morning.

Yes, it's morning in Korea!

I checked all the notes on Game Collection: WCC: Botvinnik-Bronstein 1951 twice now, and I believe they are in order, and also I think there are no spelling or format mistakes?

But I'm here to let you know that I won't be handing the draft in until just before I go to bed around 12 hours from now.

You've been coming up with more than a few 11th hour "winning edits," so-

A: I appreciate your skill and hard work in this area.

B: Still 11 hours to go in case you find anything.

Man was I happy to see you.

Another debacle!

I've missed you. I take it you don't see any more editing improvements on Game Collection: WCC: Lasker-Janowski 1910?

<Daniel> is taking even more time than usual on promoting our <Charles Bronson> draft, but I don't want to nag him.

Any more than I usually do, at any rate.

QUESTION: Does the squeaky wheel get the grease, or does the squeaky wheel get greased?

On good news, I believe that our friend <T-bone> may return from his vacation in the near future. We've been emailing and he sounds in fine fettle.

At any rate, I hope you, too, are well.

Here is some music. I trust you'll let me know if it's "SCREWHEAD" or not. You may recall that you did appoint yourself as the one true "screwhead music arbiter," though if I'm not mistaken there was some resistance to that from <Trombone>.

OhioChessFan: Like chess, editing comes on the amateur in gusts. I am massively lazy, and rarely can force myself to ugh, work, on editing. Odd as it seems, it's fun for me. But it's only fun when I'm in the mood to do it.

On this site, the driver of the car simply puts on ear plugs when the wheel starts squeaking.

<Travis> has got to stop the in character threatening posts. Never okay. And the masked profanities aren't okay for a professing Christian. Hmmm, is it wrong to speak of him in the third person? I suspect he wouldn't mind.

  jessicafischerqueen:

<Ohio>

I doubt he'd mind, especially since you are a loyal friend who "tells it like it is" as a matter of character.

I suspect <Travis> already knows all this himself.

The thing I really don't like is the way certain people target <Travis>, knowing full well he's likely to go berserk.

This latest go-round all started after <Travis> made a totally appropriate and useful chess post on the <Fischer> page, and <Petrosianic> jumped in to mock him in a most supercilious manner.

<Travis> has flaws for sure, but he's got 10 times the heart that guy has.

You and I have been known to show some temper as well eh?

Well me more than you.

Ok a lot more than you.

OhioChessFan: Yes, I don't like the targeting. I've engaged in a little of that, for laughs. However, when you see other people do something you find offensive, it can be very enlightening to realize that they are ummmmmmmm.........doing exactly what you do too. I had too many of those moments on the RiffRaff page and had to take a step or trwo hundred back.
