<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

  OhioChessFan: ** Final Recap **

Hall of Famer <WinKing> blew away the competition to capture the gold in Moves+Bonus Ranker, and added 3 silvers. Proving cream rises, Hall of Famer <OhioChessFan> thrilled his admiring fans with a strong final round to win 2 golds, in Moves Ranker and a shared #1 Ranker. He added one silver. <Fiona Macleod> is newly inducted into the Hall of Fame by capturing a gold in Bonus Ranker, and Hall of Famer <Robin01> shared a gold in #1 Ranker. <alfamikewhiskey> and <Golden Executive> collected 2 bronze. <chessmoron> and <Karposian> had 1 bronze each. The journalists covering the tournament voted <Penguincw vs Karposian> the best feud. Thanks to <chessmoron> for running the show and to everyone who caught scoring errors. Thanks to everyone who participated. Now, excuse me as I hang these 2 gold medals around my neck, to show the world I'm good by heck.

Dec-13-15  WinKing: There were a couple of scoring errors in round 9 but nothing that affected the standings:

<wordfunph> never had his 2pts. he scored in Rnd.9 added to his score.

<whiteshark> had Carlsen-Grischuk 1-0 37 also good for another 6pts. added to his score.

<lostemperor> had Carlsen-Grischuk 1-0 45 good for 1pt. that was given to <Robin01>

As I said none of these scoring errors affected the scoring but I just wanted you to know there were some errors.

Dec-13-15  WinKing: I would like to thank <chessmoron> for running & <OhioChessFan> for hosting the contest.

Congratulations to all of the medal winners! It was really nice to see Gold medals spread around this time instead of one person winning most of them. Nice finish <OCF> you picked the right time to have your best round - well done.

Dec-13-15  WinKing: Special kudos to <Fiona Macleod> who picked up his first gold medal ever. Welcome to the Hall of Fame! :)
Dec-13-15  Karposian: <chessmoron: ♙<WINNER'S CORNER>♙>

No matter how long I look at that post, I just can't seem to find <Penguincw>'s name anywhere on the list.

It's like he didn't win anything at all! Not even a bronze. Oh, wait.. he really didn't. What a truly dismal performance.

Congrats to all the winners! <OCF>'s double gold was highly impressive, and what to say about <WinKing>'s majestic win in the combination? Simply terrific. And well done, <Fiona> and <Robin> for winning gold medals also.

See all you guys next year for Tata Steel!

Dec-13-15  WinKing: <Karposian;...and what to say about <WinKing>'s majestic win in the combination?>

lol Thanks <Karposian>. Your check is in the mail. ;)

Penguincw: Thanks <OhioChessFan> and <chessmoron> for hosting this contest. Also thanks to <WinKing> for watching the score.

As for the congrats,

Congrats to <OCF> for winning a double crown. This is the <5th> instance now where he had a multi-crown tournament (3 triple and 2 double). The only other user who has that many is <cm>, with his 5 double crowns.

Congrats to <WK> for winning a gold and adding on to his runner-up medals lead. Congrats to <Fiona Macleod> for winning a gold here, and entering the HOF for both <Golden Executive>'s contest, and here. Wow, rookie of the year! ;)

Congrats to all the other medal winners as well.

And because <Corrosion> was whining about it, congrats to you for winning a bronze medal. I'd also like to congratulate you on completing your goal, which was to pass me in the HOF this contest.

Oh wait, you didn't. So while you're boasting about the fact you 2 bronze to my none, I'm still ahead of you in 2 of the 3 contests, and overall.

See y'all next year!

Dec-14-15  Fiona Macleod: Whew, this Gold Medal is heavy. Can I pawn it? Thanks to Elvis and to God the Almighty for making this possible.

Dec-14-15  alfamikewhiskey: Thank you for running the contest!
Dec-14-15  WinKing: <OhioChessFan: Doing Tata Steel, <chessmaroon> ?>

Yes are you doing Tata Steel <chessmoron>? Both of the other tournament organizers have confirmed that their contests will be open for Tata.

<Dec-13-15
Golden Executive: : Hope to see you for the next contest, which will be ..... Tata Steel 2016 (16-31 Jan).>

<Dec-14-15
lostemperor: Next tournament (for real) TATA STEEL CHESS 2016 now open for your bets!>

Don't mean to put any pressure on you <chessmoron> but it would give me time to drum up some good 'PR' for this contest to insure a good turnout.
