<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

OhioChessFan: <redundant> I never noticed that. I had 5 semesters of college German so I have a basic knowledge of the language. I guess the different languages of "time" in the same sentence render it acceptable. Monty Python just doesn't work for me. I like maybe 10% of their stuff.

OhioChessFan: Wildly entertaining game that lasted a long time with an odd material imbalance. 41...Ke5 was losing, as it gave up the skewer on the two Rooks on the long diagonal. 41...Kd7 would have been fine.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 3 Recap **

<offramp> is nonchalantly leading all 4 Rankers. <Penguincw> is sweating bullets someone else may achieve that singular honor and has moved into a tie for first in the #1 Ranker. Everyone else is hoping to catch up quickly in the next 6 rounds.

<OhioChessFan> is still pounding his desktop monitor, shrieking at Caruana and Kramnik, asking "Why couldn't those idiots have played one more move!?" In a shocking development, <chessmoron> is sort of close in the Bounus Ranker.

There are still 10 0's on the scoreboard, 5 of the typical Moves Ranker/#1 Ranker couplets. The other contestants aren't sure if rooting for everyone else to score is good sportsmanship or a sign of mocking superiority. Most of them don't care.

6 rounds to go. Can we get rid of all those 0's? Can <offramp> continue this shocking display of prognosticaion professlionalism? Will <chessmoron> inevitably sink back to oblivion? Will <Penguincw> cry himself to sleep worried someone else may score a Quadruple Crown? Stay tuned for the answers to these and other interesting questions.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 4 Recap **

<offramp> continues his nonchalant stroll through the reputations of all our long term contestants. He leads outright 3 of the 4 Rankers. <sea otter> and <WinKing> are trying to defend the honor of all the other contestants as they share the lead in the Bonus Ranker. <OCF> is ranting again about being only one move over a result and was heard mumbling "These fools blew 15 points for me in the last 2 rounds."

In other news, <Wannabe> has noticed how easy <offramp> makes this look and is planning on entering next contest and winning a Quadruple Clown. <Penguincw> is encouraging other entrants in hopes nobody will ever join him in the Quadruple Crown Club.

Meanwhile, we're down to only 4 0's on the board and everyone is hoping those disappear. Only 5 rounds left to go in our scintillating contest.
