<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 7 Recap **

<OhioChessFan> awoke to the sounds of an old man building a giant boat and is still a bit puzzled about what is going on. While his electric was out last night, his dying cell phone did have enough juice to chirp 4 times with warnings about floods. He is blaming his poor performance in round 8 on the distractions of the torrential rains.

In any case, <GE> moved into the lead of 2 rankers now, while <Switch> holds the lead in 2. <WinKing> has started a furious comeback and is tied for the lead in #1 Ranker. <sea otter> is bemoaning his terrible luck, as the Mamedyarov-Adams game stopped one move short of him having a perfect, and he was pipped by one move in predicting the Harikrishna-Wojtaszek game. On a brighter note, <sea otter> is looking into moving to Ohio as he heard there are large seas to frolic in across the whole state.

How will the <Switch> vs <GE> duel turn out? Can <WinKing> continue his torrid second half pace? What will <OhioChessFan> find to blame for his predictably poor performance in the final rounds? Will <sea otter> overcome bad luck and global warming to finally hit a #1? Stay tuned for the answers to these and many more exciting questions.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 8 Recap **

It was a very hard round for most of our contestants. <chessmoron> finally woke up and scored a little bit. The crowd roared its approval for <sea otter> finally hitting a #1 and getting all the 0's off our scoreboard.

Meanwhile, <switch> and <GE> still hold the lead in two rankers each. The Moves+Bonus Ranker has four contestants within 12 points, so that race is especially worth watching.

We are heading into the final round, with all contestants at the peak of their performance. Muy cyber fame and fortune is at stake as we await the results that come in later today. As the final contestant submits his picks, the crowd rises in anticipation....

OhioChessFan: I'll be really limited in my ability to get online tomorrow. I hope <GE> can get the results up in a timely manner.

Many thanks to <GE> for stepping up to the plate and running the scoring. Thanks to <Switch> and <WinKing> for being official starters. Thanks to everyone who plays. I know a lot of Games Prediction contestants skip this one on the basis of it being too hard. It is hard, but also a challenge. I'm glad for all who step up.

Hoping everyone shows up for the next tournament, probably Norway. <chessmoron>?
