<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

Mar-23-18  WinKing: A few things <chessmoron>. You have <offramp> scoring 2pts. in the Caruana - Kramnik game. He had <Caruana - Kramnik 1-0 38>. He should not have scored. Now <lostemperor> was the one who had <Caruana - Kramnik 1/2 46> good for 2pts.. So <offramp> should have a total of 20pts. & <lostemperor> should have a total of 37pts..

On another note are you sure this game had only 40 moves? Several chess websites showed this game with 41 moves which would take away our Exact scores. You might want to check into that.

Mar-23-18  WinKing: Right now <chessmoron> the chess websites chessdom & chessbomb show the Caruana - Kramnik game as having 41 moves. chess24 shows the game having only 40 moves. So who is right...I really don't know.
Mar-23-18  WinKing: I will respect whatever final decision you make.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 11 Recap **

We had a lot of excitement both on and off the board this round. We now have 4 different leaders in the 4 different Rankers. <Fiona> leads Moves Ranker by only one point over 3 other contestants. <Count Wedgemore> has a 1 point lead in Bonus Ranker. <Penguincw> has a 6 point lead in Moves+Bonus Ranker. And <amw> has a one pick lead over 3 people in #1 Ranker.

In other news, <OCF> and <chessmoron> almost came to blows arguing about <Robin01's> identity. In one of the most bizarre scoring decisions in this contest's history, <WinKing> and <chessmoron> voluntarily gave up 3 points for the sake of integrity or respect or some other equally silly ideas. <offramp> and <lostemperor> have been spotted wandering around the playing floor, cursing the day Ding was born. <OhioChessFan> is bracing for a snowstorm tomorrow, with reports varying between 1/2 inch and 12 inches expected. He hopes to invite the weather forecasters to this contest as they will be dead money if they are as bad at predicting chess as they are at predicting weather. <chessmoron> has been in contact with ESPN in hopes of having the Moves Prediction Contest picked up for an online second chance bracket contest.

It is hard to believe we're so near the end of our contest. Hang on to your seats, contestants and fans alike, we are racing toward an exciting finish. Only 3 rounds to go in thrilling contest.
