<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 1 Recap **

We're off and running in the Dortmund 2018 Moves Prediction Contest. <OhioChessFan> and <lostemperor> charged out with a couple of 20 point rounds to lead the way. <le> leads in 3 Rankers while <OCF> is on top in 2. <lostemperor> is still trying to explain to <WinKing> what it means to run a contest but not really run a contest. <WinKing> is bewildered why contestants aren't flocking to a practice game with no medals, sort of like the World Cup third place game that nobody watched. <OhioChessFan> is hoping to erase the humiliating memory of losing the last round of Bookie by $3, although he still suspects inside help for the eventual winner who is just cough, cough, coincidentally one of the Bookies!

In other news, <chessmoron> has put out an all points bulletin for <amw>, <sea otter> and <Robin01> in hopes they'll show up for the next round. <offramp> was seen muttering the most puzzled questions since Admiral Stockdale's bizarre performance in the 1992 Vice Presidential Debate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKp...

It's a short tournament, so a fast start is in order. Only 6 rounds to go as we seek cyber fame and fortune.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 2 Recap **

We've over a fourth of the way and not quite a third of the way done (<OCF> did that in his head if anyone is impressed) in our exciting contest. <GoldenExecutive> led the way that round as he hit 2 #1's. <WinKing> and <OCF> each had 6 points in Bonus Ranker in a rather mediocre effort there. <lostemperor> disappeared into the night that round, but still managed to hold a share of the lead in 2 Rankers. <WinKing> likewise shares the lead in 2. <OCF> has at least a share of the lead in 3 Rankers.

In other news, the crowd was elated to see <amw> show up, who explained his first round absence was a protest against Carlsen not playing here. <offramp> and <Switch> missed that round as they got distracted by the thrilling third place game in the World Cup. <Penguincw> is so embarrassed by his feeble effort here that he's bragging about doing well in the pretend Bookie pre-season contest that nobody cares about. While it's early in the contest, our contestants are already laboring and pleaded with <chessmoron> to take a day off. <chessmoron> went and glared at the Tournament Directors, who correctly gave in immediately.

A day of rest, and then back to the grind as we hurtle on toward cyber fame and fortune. Only 5 rounds to go in our thrilling contest.
