<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 5 Recap **

The action is fast and furious in our competition, as <wordfunph> has charged to the lead in 3 Rankers and is in 2nd in the other! Only <amw> is standing between <word> and the coveted Quadruple Crown.

In other news, <bubuli> showed up after missing the last round when he lost track of time in an unsuccessful attempt to get one of his puns selected for Game of the Day. <Pengo> kept posting stuff about how it was 100% sure that Carlsen would beat MVL. Of course, most of our contestants were smart enough to ignore him, and of course, Carlsen didn't win. It was rather suspicious to notice that after praising Carlsen's record against MVL to the skies, <Pengo> himself predicted a draw. Just sayin'. <Count> irritated all the players-except Vishy-when he was overheard in the playing arean saying they were all too nice. On the other hand, <word> was besieged by the players asking him to wish them "Good Luck", as every time he's done so, that player has won.

In other news, <Schwartz’s> entry set off alarms at the CIA as they were convinced that “Mid. Trnmnt.” <had> to be some kind of secret message. The rest of the competitors were left shaking their heads at the first instance of someone predicting a game to last 100 moves. Meanwhile, <OCF> claimed that the whole site was down for 8 hours, but apparently is the only person who thinks so. <Annie> tried to calm <OCF> down, and sent him a link to a helpful site: www.IsEveryoneElseCrazyOrIsItJustMe.com

We're over halfway home and the excitement is building. Is it possible we'll see a Quadruple Crown? What player will <Pengo> try to get everyone to pick a decisive game next? Will the the 3 idiots who believed <Pengo> this time learn their lesson? What in the world does <Mid. Trnmnt.> mean exactly? Who will <Count> make mad by saying they're nice this round? Has the pressure of writing entertaining but ignored recaps finally gotten to <OCF> and caused him to imagine 8 hour site outages? Stay tuned for the answers to these and many other interesting questions. Only 4 rounds to go in our exciting contest.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 6 Recap **

<wordfunph> continued his stunning run, as he remains in first in 3 Rankers, and second in the other. <amw> is holding on gamely in Bonus Ranker. All contests are still pretty close, so the field is working together to catch <word>.

In other news, <Schwartz> tried to beg <chessmoron> for extra points. Good luck with that. <cm> glared at <Schwartz> for a few seconds, and <Schwartz> wisely walked away. <word> got into a bit of a scuffle in the playing arena with some So fans who <word> thought were being too loud in their support. "It's useless to cheer on these guys", <word> said, as he tried to shush the fans. <bubuli> has the mistaken notion that the Armageddon games are some sort of chess boxing variant, as he continues to call out for the players to punch each other.

Meanwhile, <Count> has been whining about his poor performance in <lostemperor's> contest, as if anyone cares. <le> said in response, "Hard it is, stay out if you can't the heat stand the kitchen." And it's rumored Toronto Raptors fan <Penguincw> was among that awful group of people who cheered Kevin Durant's injury. Which is a good way to get <chessmoron> mad at you, as he is one of the few people in the world taller than Durant.

We are already 2/3 of the way through our competition. Can <word> hang on to his lead in 3 Rankers, and even make a run at a Quadruple Crown? Will <amw> shatter <word's> dreams? Can someone else step up late and sneak ahead? What player will <bubuli> be encouraging to punch someone? Which contestant will be silly enough to try to get more points from <chessmoron> after the next round? Stay tuned for the answers to these and many other pertinent questions. 3 rounds to go in our exciting contest.
