http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/1... Bean-War? Anyone? |
Sep-18-15
 | | WannaBe: This explains <A LOT>!! http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/schedul...
Cheapest tix for KC/OAK $39, cheapest tix for OAK/KC $23 Gonna be a loooooooong season. |
Sep-18-15
 | | WannaBe: Really good game going on in the City of New York, 1-1, top 6. |
Sep-18-15
 | | Penguincw: The Jays beat the Sox 6-1, and the Yankees lost to the other NY team 5-1. Both division leaders shrink their magic number. Win-win situation! Toronto's division magic number is 12, while their postseason number is 7. No team has clinched any berth yet, although the Cards are at 2 (1 if the Giants lose tonight). |
Sep-18-15
 | | WannaBe: PIT 0, LAD 2, top 3rd. |
Sep-19-15
 | | Phony Benoni: St. Louis didn't clinch last night, but got another stop forward with San Francisco's loss. What has been apparent for some time -- that the NL field would be Mets, Cardinals, Pirates, cubs, Dodges -- is becoming a reality. Cardinals have a five game lead now, so the only real question appears seeding between Mets/Dodgers and whether the Pirates or Cubs will host the Wild Card playoff. In the AL, Jays appears safe for the play-offs and KC for the Central. Yankees appear to be in good shape. The West remains open, as does the second wild card. Minensota currently 1 game out, Angels two, Cleveland 2.5. Baltimore, Tampa Bay and Seattle are only a miracle run away, but it's hard to take under-.500 teams seriously. San Diego eliminated last night. Arizona and Oakland still handing on. |
Sep-19-15
 | | WannaBe: Duke 7, N'Western 3 at the half. Real engineering barn burner going on. |
Sep-19-15
 | | Penguincw: The Yankees win 5-0, and so gain a half game on Toronto. Meanwhile, the Cardinals had the chance to win a postseason berth with a win, but lost. They do return home on Monday vs. CIN. Maybe they want to clinch at home... |
Sep-19-15
 | | Phony Benoni: If you're leading e division, clinching a Wild Card isn't that big a deal. That one-game Wild Card play-off is a crapshoot. But a clinch is a clinch. And it looks like Arizona might do the Cards' work for them up 5-0 over the Giants in the 7th. |
Sep-19-15
 | | WannaBe: This will make it easier on the Dodgers, they can clinch NL West before they visit SFG in that second to last series of the year. |
Sep-19-15
 | | WannaBe: Oh, geeze! This KC-DET game is on the channel as BYU-Ucla game! I'm gonna miss a lot of the actions. Oh, well, I can flip back forth to Trees-USC or PITT-LAD GAME. |
Sep-19-15
 | | Penguincw: Blue Jays lose 7-6 due to a 9th inning debacle. :( The Yankees also won, so the lead is now down to 3.5 games, and magic number still at 12. However, Minnesota lost, so Toronto's magic number for a postseason berth is down to 6. The Cardinals clinch with a Giants loss. It also helps the Dodgers, as their number to clinch the division is down to 7, 6 if Kershaw (who hasn't lost since June) can beat the sliding Bucs. Next up, KC, PIT and CHC are all at 5 if they want to play in October. |
Sep-19-15
 | | WannaBe: BYU moved tha ball really well, 7-0 Stormin' Mormons. Kershaw on the short end of a 2-1 game. Trees lookin' really good against Trojans. |
Sep-19-15
 | | WannaBe: Great, BYU on-side kicked, and recovered the ball. UGH!!! |
| Sep-19-15 | | Jim Bartle: I'll switch over to UCLA game after Stanford-USC is over. Stanford 38 USC 28 in the 4th, a real shocker at the moment. |
Sep-19-15
 | | WannaBe: Not really, Trees have always had USC's numbers, was it just 5 years ago when 21-points underdog beat 'SC in LA?? |
Sep-19-15
 | | WannaBe: INT, Rosen need to learn throw it out of bounds... Ugh! Great pitchers duel, 2-1 Pittsburgh, bottom 7. |
Sep-19-15
 | | WannaBe: 2-2!!! Second & third, one out, bottom 7th, in LA. Fans in the parking lot are runnung back to their seats!!! |
| Sep-19-15 | | Jim Bartle: Stanford has already lost to Northwestern, and USC started the game by steamrolling the Stanford defense, scoring three TDs effortlessly. But it's all changed. The shocker win was 2007, when Stanford was a 30-point underdog. |
Sep-19-15
 | | WannaBe: Trees win!! Trees win!! |
Sep-19-15
 | | WannaBe: Dodgers down a run, again. Powdered blues showing signs of life. Was it 2007 and 30 points?? How time flies. |
Sep-19-15
 | | WannaBe: Tipped ball, INT, if Ucla didn't have bad luck, they'd have no luck at all.. UGH!! |
Sep-20-15
 | | WannaBe: INT in the endzone, just as them Boo-ings were driving for the tying score. UGH. |
| Sep-20-15 | | Jim Bartle: Mississippi scored the wildest TD you will see all year . A bad snap, the QB about to be nailed by two Alabama guys, he throws it up for anybody, a defender knocks it away, and it falls into the hands of a second receiver who runs 60 yards for a TD. Mississippi is wiping out Bama. |
Sep-20-15
 | | Phony Benoni: St, Louis finally clinches a wild card berth. 4 game lead over Pittsburgh, 5 over Chicago. Angels beat Twins twice, pass them in the wild card race and are just 1.5 behind Houston, 4 behind Texas. Tigers win another extra-inning walk-off vs. Kansas City for their fourth win in a row. Too little, too late. KC still sees their magic number to clinch the division fall to 3, so they may be be the next to qualify, though Pittsburgh is at 4 and Cubs at 5 to clinch Wild Card spots. Oakland becomes the first AL to be mathematically eliminated, and is joined on the sidelines by San Diego. Arizona still clinging in their, but one loss or a Dodger win finishes them. |
