Nov-21-15
 | | WannaBe: Stanford scores!! 14-3. |
Nov-22-15
 | | WannaBe: Surprised Cal did not go for 2 after that touchdown... |
| Nov-22-15 | | Jim Bartle: Christian McCaffrey will almost certainly break the NCAA record for all-purpose yards held by the father of his teammate Barry J. Sanders. It's a bit of a deceptive record, since return yards are so much easier to come by than running or receiving yards. And McCaffrey returns kickoffs. Plus McCaffrey will play one more game than Sanders did. |

Nov-22-15
 | | WannaBe: Looks like it snowed over the evening, and Detroit got an early Christmas snow. |
Nov-22-15
 | | ketchuplover: snow is a four letter word ! |
Nov-22-15
 | | WannaBe: The last time Raiders scored? Second Qtr vs Minnesota. They have gone 4+ Qtrs without even a field goal. Ugh! |
Nov-22-15
 | | chancho: Cam Newton, 5 TD's.
Game still in the 3rd Qt... |
Nov-22-15
 | | WannaBe: Two Time Zone Curse strikes again. On to the 49ers game. |
Nov-22-15
 | | Tabanus: <PB> Arents Legore Prindle and Edward Friederich Schrader. I'm most sure about the latter, but if it was him (celebrating 1905?) or his son playing in 1955 is still an open question. I think only your sources could tell. |
Nov-23-15
 | | Phony Benoni: <TO ALL> My home Internet connection is on the fritz, and I can't get a service appointment until Saturday/ Blankety Thanksgiving week! At any rate, I have to sneak in a minute here and there at work, and will be sporadic for some time. Lions are first team in history to win consecutive games scoring 18 points each time. Maybe there will be something better than the Internet on Thanksgivign. <Tabanus> Good work on the Schrader front! |
| Nov-23-15 | | Deus Ex Alekhina: <PB> <I...will be sporadic for some time>. OK, let us know when you are done cultivating mushrooms in your attic. |
Nov-24-15
 | | WannaBe: Week 11 update on RTTTZMR!!
<LOST> Oakland @ Detroit <WON> Kansas City @ San Diego <LOST> Cincinnati @ Arizona Boy, did we have a couple of good ones, Raiders almost pulled it off, and Cincinnati's furious 4th Qtr (But Arizona's 21-pts third Qtr doomed Cincinnati)... So, how is the over-all picture look? Teams that travel two time zones or more are now 13-27, while the rest of the NFL road teams went 6-5, and a running total of 60-60. (That would be 0.500 if you are not too good at math) For the Thanksg'v'n week, we have:
<???> Oakland @ Tennessee <???> San Diego @ Jacksonville <???> Pittsburgh @ Seattle <???> New England @ Seattle And just for kicks, the original Cleveland Browns (3-7) will play the new Cleveland Browns (2-8). 13-10 game? I can hardly wait. |
Nov-25-15
 | | Tabanus: Colin Arthur Renton off the list (I hope). |
Nov-25-15
 | | WannaBe: What happens when you call a press conference and no one shows up? http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015... |
Nov-25-15
 | | Phony Benoni: At this Holiday Checkpoint, I'm thankful for my new BFF: the technician who fixed my Internet connection today. It was the usual recipe for disaster: a cable, a tree, six inches of wet snow, and some wind. He turned out to be a former high school chess player , so we had something to chat about while waiting for the for the scars to close. He mentioned he was a queen-pawn player, and I said, "Oh, one of those!" He seemed a bit miffed, but he's still my BFF at least. I just hope I never see him again. |
Nov-25-15
 | | WannaBe: Good to have you back! |
Nov-26-15
 | | WannaBe: Well, Lions are doing good! |
Nov-26-15
 | | WannaBe: Well, Lions are kicking some serious turkey's bee-hind! |
Nov-26-15
 | | Phony Benoni: Nice to see the Lions get Thanksgiving Day off, but I'd like to know which team is wearing their uniforms. |
Nov-28-15
 | | Tabanus: Henry Roy McDavid off the list. |
Nov-29-15
 | | Tabanus: Alfred George Miller. He should also be the A G Miller playing in US Open 1947 in Corpus Christi, if he was from Tulsa then. |
Nov-29-15
 | | Phony Benoni: <Tabanus> A list of players at Corpus Christi 1947 ("Chess Life", August 20, 1947, p.8) confirms Miller's city as Tulsa at that time. |
Nov-29-15
 | | WannaBe: Tigers sign Zimmermann $110M, 5-years!
http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/1... Don Zimmermann will be their starting pitcher?! |
| Nov-29-15 | | Jim Bartle: I just don't see signing a good-but-not-great 29-year-old pitcher to a big five-year contract. It looks like desperation. |
Nov-29-15
 | | Tabanus: <PB> Ok then!
Then I thought D B Martin would be easy, but far from it. I have to give him up. Plus I don't dare to promote E F Schrader. |
