 | | WannaBe: LAD (-225) heavy favourite in tonight's game vs SD, Puig have re-joined the team and will bat fifth. |
|

 | | Phony Benoni: Possible eliminations this weekend (including Labor Day action): <DIVISION>
Cleveland 3 Minnesota
Texas 7 Oakland
Washington 1 Atlanta
Cubs 1 Milwaukee
Three of these should happen.
<WILD CARD>
Toront 3, Boston 5, Detroit and Baltimore 7 Minnesota Very unlikely all that will happen, but Minnesota could be out of contention complexly by Monday. |

 | | WannaBe: One of the (T)Heisman favourite for 2016 is that guy from Stanford, who burned UCLA last year, badly. Time to http://tunein.com and listen to some Jumpin' Tree footbaaaaaaaaaaaaaal!!!!! |
|
Sep-02-16
 | | saffuna: You mean the one who just ran a punt back 97 yards? Clipping penalty, though. |
|
Sep-02-16
 | | WannaBe: Jumpin' Jimminy. Tree are up 10-0 over K-State. <saffuna> Yeah, that Mc-guy, he burned UCLA bad last year. I really hoped he'd go pro. =)) |
|
Sep-02-16
 | | saffuna: Wasn't eligible for the NFL after last year, only a sophomore. He's a different player from the norm. He's very fast, but doesn't appear to be really elusive. But he seems to have really quick, subtle moves because guys keep missing. In the Rose Bowl Iowa players seemed to slip as he ran right by them. You know his ancestry, I assume. Not only the son of receiver Ed McCaffrey, but the grandson of 1960 Silver Medalist in the 100, Dave Sime. |
|
Sep-02-16
 | | WannaBe: <saffuna> I think, think, he was eligible, two years out of/after high school. Yes, I know his "family history", highly profiled in the Bay Area, my new 'adopted' home. =)) |
|
Sep-02-16
 | | saffuna: I saw his grandfather run at the 1960 Olympic trials at Stanford Stadium. |
|
Sep-02-16
 | | WannaBe: That Mc-Guy just scored, 16-0, waiting for the PAT. And, it's goooooood!
NCAA football is in full swing, baby!
<saffuna> You are really dating y'self! =)) |
|
Sep-02-16
 | | saffuna: I was nine, and it was really exciting. 75,000 both days. World records in the high jump and pole vault (last one with the steel pole). Wilma Rudolph, Al Oerter, Don Bragg. The 20-km. walk was so strange. They waddled around the track once, walked out, and then came back an hour later. |
|
Sep-02-16
 | | WannaBe: <saffuna> Oh, yes, the "walk" where one foot must touch the ground at all times. It <IS> like a (Oregon) Duck waddling around. =) |
|
Sep-03-16
 | | WannaBe: Did I mention that LAD was a heavy favourite over SD last night? Well, LAD lost. |
|
Sep-03-16
 | | saffuna: Dodgers had 13 hits and scored two runs? They had a solo homer, so that means on 12 hits they scored one run. |
|
Sep-03-16
 | | WannaBe: Woo woo, Houston Cougs are ahead of the #3 Sooners! Third Qtr. |
|
Sep-03-16
 | | WannaBe: Got SFG/CHI game right now, going over to Ucla/A&M later than close out with USC. Wheeeeee!! |
|
Sep-03-16
 | | WannaBe: First upset of the NCAA Season, #3 Oklahoma goes down to Houston Cougs. |
|
Sep-03-16
 | | WannaBe: Ucla have a new kicker this year, JJ Molson. Yes, he is Canadian. =)) |
|
Sep-03-16
 | | saffuna: <Fowler sacrificed into double play, third to second to shortstop, Rizzo to second, Rizzo out at third attempting to advance on play. > I'd like to see that. But trying to go first to third on a bunt sounds risky. |
|
Sep-03-16
 | | WannaBe: Ucla's not lookin' good vs A&M. |
|
Sep-03-16
 | | WannaBe: Holy Boo-ins!! Go for 2! |
|
Sep-03-16
 | | WannaBe: We're tied!! 24-24! |
|
Sep-03-16
 | | WannaBe: Wisconsin beat #5 LSU! |
|
Sep-03-16
 | | WannaBe: Lost, ugh!! |
|
Sep-03-16
 | | saffuna: I turned off the radio when Rosen threw the interception down near the goal line trailing 24-9. Reception was cutting in and out anyway. UCLA announcers were saying receivers were dropping good passes all day long. |
|
Sep-03-16
 | | saffuna: espn.com puts up tweets from the writers in a column on the righthand side. Someone just posted one saying, "Alabama has won the toss." Sheesh. Going to listen to Alabama-USC on the radio with the great Alabama play-by-play man Eli Gold. |
