 | | Phony Benoni: Hey, Travis, congratulations to the Cubbies! "tis a far better thing to clinch early than to never clinch at all. |

|
Sep-17-16
 | | saffuna: Florida St. is NOT hanging tough with Louisville. #2 team being routed. |
|
Sep-17-16
 | | WannaBe: Iowa lost at home to DI-AA NDSU! |
|
Sep-17-16
 | | Phony Benoni: No shame in losing to Notre Dame State University. |
|
Sep-17-16
 | | WannaBe: Alright, half time, them Jumpin' Tree ahead of that Other School Across Town. Ucla will be at Provo Utah facing Stormin' Mormons later. Sparty's ahead of Golden Domers (Soon to be Golden Goners...) Go MSU!! |
|
Sep-17-16
 | | WannaBe: Listening to the Stanford radio feed, they are (very) critical of 'SC play calling and decisions made. 15 minutes to Ucla! |
|
Sep-18-16
 | | WannaBe: SFG bullpen choked up another one, Bruins escaped BYU, will face Jumpin' Tree next week at Rose Bowl. Both 'SC and ND are 1-2!
49ers are the early game, then Oakland, good day for a double-header. |

Sep-18-16
 | | WannaBe: Ahhhh, good ol' Browns, scored 20 pts in the first qtr, then zilch. And lost the game. |
|
Sep-18-16
 | | saffuna: The only NFL TV I get on Sundays is RedZone. It just juggled through four last minute endings, often two at a time on the screen. Amazing. The Red Zone announcer has a tough job, keeping everything in order. Browns receiver drew a holding call on the final drive. Big gain. Then he taunts the DB and draws a penalty. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. |
|
Sep-18-16
 | | WannaBe: Okay, Trivia Time!!
Today Rams returns "home" to Los Angeles/Anaheim area, so... Who was Rams' starting QB in their last home game at Anaheim before owner Georgia Frontiere moved the team to St. Louis? |
|
Sep-18-16
 | | saffuna: Jim Everett?
I believe this is the first NFL game in the LA Coliseum since 1979. The only place I have ever seen an NFL game. |
|
Sep-18-16
 | | saffuna: The Niners struggled against the Rams from 67 through the mid-70s, losing most of the time. Roman Gabriel always seemed to be just a little too good. Plus they had Merlin Olsen and Deacon Jones. |
|
Sep-18-16
 | | WannaBe: Not Mr. Happy Feet Jim Everett...
The Rams last home game at Anaheim, they hosted Washington Redskins, and lost by 3. Rams finished '94 season 4-12, Washington finished 3-13. A whopping 25,700 fans shows up. http://www.pro-football-reference.c... |
|
Sep-18-16
 | | Phony Benoni: Sigh. Same Old Lions. Lose 16-15 after having three touchdowns called back by penalties. Early contender for Ugliest Game of the Year, with the teams combining for an NFL record 29 penalties. |
|
Sep-18-16
 | | saffuna: <The Rams last home game at Anaheim, they hosted Washington Redskins, and lost by 3.> And Washington just picked up a Congressman to play quarterback. |
|
Sep-18-16

|
Sep-18-16
 | | WannaBe: St.L Cardinals continue their mind-boggling, absolutely incomprehensible Home/Road record: Home: 33-41
Away: 45-30 |
|
Sep-18-16
 | | WannaBe: <Phony Benoni: ... NFL record 29 penalties.> My friend, I'm sorry to post this:
http://www.cheatsheet.com/sports/nf... And from ESPN:
<Paul Kuharsky
ESPN Staff Writer
The 29 penalties Titans and Lions combined for isn't even in top three in league history. Nor is the 221 combined penalty yards. Heck, Titans had 212 penalty yards on their own on vs. Baltimore on Oct. 10, 1999.> |
|
Sep-18-16
 | | saffuna: A different case of dropping a live ball occurred in the first quarter of South Carolina St.-Clemson. A SCS player fielded a kickoff in the end zone, held it a second, then flipped it to the referee without taking a knee. The referee jumped away from the ball, and all the players dove toward the ball. Clemson recovered for a touchdown. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZm... |
