offramp: For outstanding equanimity and humour in the face of seemingly insurmountable attacks, and for constantly maintaining a Lennon-like adherence to personal principles when those around him have failed ...

For Funniest Poster I nominate <Mark Finan>.

FSR: Point of clarification: does "funniest" kibitzer mean <funny ha ha> or <funny strange>?

  offramp: Funniest Poster II.

For throwing spanners in the works of discussions that have forgotten that chess is just a game.

For shattering walls of bombast and gravitas with tewhatewhas of humour and taiahas of levity:

Funniest Poster: <Richard Taylor>.

  offramp: Best Username: <SetNoEscapeOn>.

A cryptic puzzle that I have not yet solved. Whenever I see it I think, "What does it mean?"

Jan-05-14  Shams: <offramp> Click here if you'd like to have the mystery solved: http://www6.chessclub.com/help/noes...

Alternately, leave it to your imagination. The truth is always somewhat boring.

Annie K.: <Ohio> it's hard work being King, but somebody has to do it, eh? ;)

Besides, they'll need the rest - after the nomination stage, they'll have to start doing some work too. :p

Heh. Not much new since yesterday here, so I'm not sure an update is needed today...

  Penguincw: Last 2 nominations for <Best/Worst Puns>

D Raheb vs H R Jung, 2008 <They Tried to Make Me Go to Raheb>

and

V Osnos vs J Yuchtman, 1969 <Called Out for Interference>

Annie K.: <offramp> just to clarify, are you nominating crawfb5's collection for Best Collection, or just explaining why you nominated him for Best Historian?
Jan-05-14

Annie K.: I second <Jess> in nominating Game Collection: 1970 Buenos Aires by <TheFocus> for Best Game Collection.

However, seeing as his entire profile contents were added in 2014, I don't think he is technically eligible for Best Profile this year.
