  The Caissars: The envelope please….

The winner of the 2013 Best Game Collection is <TheFocus> with Game Collection: 1970 Buenos Aires. Well done!

The winner of the 2013 Most Informed is <Karpova>. Congratulations!

Look in my profile above (soon) for the next round of votes, for <Best Historian> and <Best/Worst Pun of the Year>. This will be a fun one!

When voting for a pun, please just name the pun (not the game it was from or the person who first suggested it) and as always use gold-text. For example, "I vote for <Back to the Fuchsia> for best pun."

Jan-16-14  TheFocus: <The Caissars> You have <Phony Benoni> as winner of Best Game Collection.

I thank everyone who voted for my collection.

FSR: I vote for <jessicafischerqueen> for Best Historian.
Jan-16-14  MarkFinan: Oh, seeing as everyone's playing the "make sure the old guard get at least one cronyism award each" game.

I vote <JFQ> for best historian! I know? Who'd have thought. Karpova got yesterday's award, and even though she probably deserved this one, we have to make sure they all get one each..

I refuse to vote for Best pun, because even though I think what Limpy Urcan did was pretty horrible to genuinely nice people, I think he got the pun thing right.. but even a broken clock is right two times a day!

offramp: What did whatsisname say about the puns?
Jan-16-14  MarkFinan: Just a satirical take on the name of Euwe, and the people that come out with the puns. In fact it was a satirical letter that someone sent in to Kingpin I think, and that's what kinda started him off!

  WannaBe: Voting Best Historian <whiteshark>

Best/Worst Pun: <Game of Thrones>

(Never read any of the books, or saw the movies. But I know the plot/story line, and the title is fitting for this Anand/Carlsen game).
