OhioChessFan: I meant to vote for <Mr. Georgiev, Wear Down this Tal!>: at a minute before midnight, just to make it a tie, because those are the 2 best puns in cg.c history. At my age, one gets tired, and I signed off at 11:45, forgetting I hadn't voted, and was simply too tired to come back to the computer when I remembered.

OhioChessFan: I agree there was a tie. Glad I didn't break the tie by voting.

chancho: My vote goes to <Magnus Carlsen> for Player of the Year.

In a year where inconsistency plagued him, he still won more elite tournaments than the other top players.

My second vote goes to <D Khismatullin vs Eljanov, 2015> for Game of the Year.

offramp: As player of the year I vote for <Anish Giri>.

As game of the year I vote for the <Khismatullin - Eljanov> confection.

As Worst Fanirmod I vote for <offramp>.

offramp: And well done to the inventor of last year's winning pun, <Brace yourself... >, whoever he or she may be.

A well-deserved although narrow victory!
