TheAlchemist: Thank you, you too!

Dec-09-24 Ding Liren vs D Gukesh, 2024 (replies)

TheAlchemist: The genius of Ding's play to me was how (except Nb5) he made moves solely on his own half of the board and in 25 moves he completely outplayed Gukesh.

   Oct-28-23 D Lazavik vs Wojtaszek, 2023 (replies)

TheAlchemist: White played a seemingly clever sacrifice, but the refutation on move 25 was simply stunning

TheAlchemist: <goodevans: Will we have another Milan-based pun tomorrow when its two big football teams face each other in the Champions League Semi-Final? https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsl... It's a huge reach, but you could call it even timelier. Unfortunately Slovaks call it ...

Apr-30-23 Nepomniachtchi vs Ding Liren, 2023 (replies)

TheAlchemist: Amazing, what a finish, what a match. Congratulations, Ding!

   Nov-08-22 D Citra vs R Vaishali, 2016 (replies)

TheAlchemist: Great pun!

   Aug-08-22 European Team Championship (2001)

TheAlchemist: I'd have to dig out contemporary magazines to be sure, but I think it said Black simply left the playing hall and never returned, leaving everyone puzzled (teammates included).

   Jun-26-22 David Moody (replies)

TheAlchemist: Terrible news. Rest in peace, PB.

   Oct-17-21 Keres vs A Sakovski, 1936 (replies)

TheAlchemist: I also forgot to add that both of those are masculine forms, the feminine one would be "šahistka". I was a bit too fast with the reply.

   May-25-21 A Ilyin-Zhenevsky vs A Model, 1932 (replies)

OhioChessFan: Oh, duh. I meant to type "one&_n_b_s_p" before. Played for a cheap laugh and messed it up.

TheAlchemist: Hmm, sorry, maybe I didn't make myself clear, the shift+6 (hold shift and then press 6) was meant as how to produce the "&" sign. Anyway, try copying &_n_b_s_p as stated above and then remove the dashes (or type it without them directly).

OhioChessFan: A new toy. I was proud of myself for figuring out how to have a blank line in front of a blue link post in a differnt manner. I'll have to try this and see if it works for one line. Next post.

  OhioChessFan: It's Shift + 7 btw.

OhioChessFan: Here's how I got a blank line: First I'd make a post with *** on the first line, then enter 2 lines and type the rest of the post. Then I'd click kibitz. Then I would blue highlight the *** on the preview page, backspace, then post.

Depends on the keyboard layout. Up here it's Shift + 6 :)
