| Sep-13-06 | | dr.roho: Noone has posted on <wannabe>'s forum besides wannabe in the last 2 days. This is odd... |
| Sep-13-06 | | positionalgenius: <dr roho>whats up? Seems you and <wannabe> have become fast friends. |
| Sep-13-06 | | dr.roho: Hey <positionalgenius>. Yeah, I guess me and <wannabe> are friends but I wont be inviting him over to my place to play checkers(excuse me, chess) anytime soon. So I remember you telling us a while back that you had to leave and it looks like you have just gotten back. Where did you go? <wannabe> I remembered that I think you had only 4 people in your last tournament. I can make it 5 if you schedule the next one on a weekday or atleast sunday... |

 | | WannaBe: It's time for: FUN WITH MATH!
San Diego Chargers Linebacker, Steve Foley, is listed at 265 lbs. When he was shot by an off-duty officer, they had his blood tested, and blood-alcohol content came back as 0.233 (0.08 in California, you're legally drunk) Now, using this chart: http://www.drunkdrivingdefense.com/... extrapolate (the chart only goes up to 240 lbs) how many drinks he had, and what his bar tab was. Extra-credit: How much should he have left as a tip for the server(s). |
| Sep-14-06 | | Rocafella: <WannaBe> You too, if you ever want another game, give me a shout mate :O) |
| Sep-16-06 | | GeauxCool: I checked out the graph, and I figured it must have taken about 17 drinks per hour. Sounds like a group thing, trading shots with sober people, so the 17 drink offers were turned down and left standing on the bar. (RIP) Hey, thanks for the tip. Fritz 9 looks like a good program, I really like its attack and defend drills. And setting up to play from an opening position is a lot better than its 'opening trainer'! |
| Sep-16-06 | | suenteus po 147: <WannaBe> Despite being creamed at last month's FICS tournament, I would like to participate again in October. I'm not sure what kind of workload I have, but I'm pretty sure you can count on me to participate. |

| Sep-19-06 | | square dance: <wannabe> from what i understand you seem to be pretty good with computers so i was wondering if you could help me installing windows xp pro 64 on my computer. maybe in a live tech support sort of way, if thats possible. thanks in advance, unless you cant help. then i take it back. :-P |

 | | WannaBe: <square dance> Is it a new system? (Nothing on the hard drive) If yes, do this: Power up your system, it will say OS not found (after about 30 seconds) open the CD/DVD ROM, insert your disk. ALT+Control+Delete. It will automatically pick up the boot-able CD/DVD. Follow instruction. Have your CD/DVD key handy.
If not, (you are doing an upgrade) insert CD/DVD select upgrade when prompted. Follow instruction.
Let me know if you need further detail(s). |
| Sep-19-06 | | square dance: its an upgrade. i already have windows xp. the problem is i never get prompted to upgrade. i saved it to my hard disk and then burned the iso file to a cd-rom and i put it in the E drive, but thats as far as it goes. |
Sep-19-06
 | | WannaBe: <square dance> Does it specifically say Upgrade Disk (For XP Pro 64-bit)? Are you currently running XP Home? Or something like XP Media version? I believe Microsoft has gotten 'smarter' with their CD/DVD packaging, if it's a new install disk, it will not upgrade an existing system. Have you tried this, leave the ISO disk in, reboot the system, see if the system recognizes the ISO disk. You will know it, because if it works, it will not boot to windows, but to what is on the CD/DVD. If you try it, and still boot up to windows, that means the ISO is not recognized. If you burn the *.iso file by regular means (didn't use a specific ISO burning software) the special encoding is not on the CD/DVD. |
Sep-19-06
 | | WannaBe: If you are trying to see if the ISO works, you MAY need to do this: Go into your BIOS, you can do this at start up by either hitting <DEL> or <ESC> or in some cases <F11> or <F12> but the standard nowadays is <DEL>. Go to Boot, find your boot-up sequence, change it to CD/DVD first, then your hard drive. This way you can test to see if the ISO is being picked up. |
| Sep-19-06 | | square dance: <wannabe> i just burned it onto a regular cd-r, which i thought was ok. i think i have found and iso burner online though. thanks for all the help! and thanks in advance for any more future help. ;-) |
