WannaBe: <unferth> In my not so humble and (very, very, very) biased opinion, let Kershaw pitch. The fans will appreciate his effort and dedication to LAD. Especially tonight; the game is virtually 'lost' for all intent and purposes. But there is game 5 tomorrow. Truely last chance for

WannaBe: Just raise the minimum wage to $100/hour end hunger, homelessness, and people being poor. Everyone will have plenty of money to buy homes and feed family. I'm ready to receive my Nobel Prize in Economics in 2026. If that doesn't fix the problem, raise min wage to $1,000/hour.

WannaBe: Yet, another example of 'Genius', or 'How Desperate are They'...

1) I'm going to modify my insurance policy, such that a convict is the the new primary beneficiary, not my own flesh and blood children.

2) I like my man in uniform, that orange prison over-all is just so hot!!

3) I passed the state employee exam, and I work at a prison!!!

Yet, another 'idiotic' piece of legislation introduced by a Democrate senator.

chancho: Thanks for the link <WannaBe>.
Jan-31-09  technical draw: If my theories are successful I'm going to honor WannaBe by naming a new opening variation: The Refrigerator Door Variation of the Wannabe Gambit....
Feb-01-09  NakoSonorense: I changed my mind. I'm rooting for Arizona.

Go Cardinals!!

Feb-01-09  YouRang: <YouRang: What? Nobody is running a superbowl prediction contest?

MY PREDICTION (*): The Cardinals will stun the Steelers, winning by 4! >

(*) Sometimes I get things in the wrong order. For example, in this case I meant Steelers will stun the Cardinals by 4. Heh, no big deal, ...not like it matters much.

Feb-01-09  YouRang: Great game though. I can't believe that interception for TD at the end of the first half. What a disaster for the Cardinals. :-(

OhioChessFan: Much closer and better game than I expected. Unbelievable that a play of 100 yards came down to inches.

OhioChessFan: I am left handed, and I grab everything with my right hand. It's very hard to use my left hand for such things. Doors, buttons, pencils, joysticks, puter mouse, most anything, I'll use my right hand. I do shave and brush my teeth with my right hand, and I guess those involve grabbing.

OhioChessFan: Oh, OD is right. If I grab the refrigerator handle, it's with my right hand. If I just pry the door open (more likely), it will be with my left hand.

WannaBe: I thought it was a good game, I gave the officials an 'A-', the less the officiating is discussed, the better job they did.

Last year, I worked the Super Bowl shift, (I work all the Sundays, football season or not). And it was busy...

So, this year, I asked one of my girl to come in and help out, it was not busy at all... So I just let her work, and actually got a chance to 'enjoy' the game, and watch it.

That interception at the end of the first half was the 'main' deciding play. If Ariz. have scored with that posession (Not turned it over), Arz. would be tied at 10-10. Or have gotten the lead 14-10.

Instead, Pittsburgh scored a TD off that turn-over, and made the score 17-7. And the final differential in the game was 4 points...

  jessicafischerqueen: Hi <MannBee>!

You'll be pleased to hear that I got my Labdog professionally cleaned and they only charged me 20 bucks.

they did an amazing job-- they told me there was so much gunk- including dried food and congealed coffee- inside my computer that it was surprising it hadn't blown up already.

Also, thanks to <Crawfish b5> advice, I just got and set up my "Lab dog" cooling platform.

My Lab Dog is now running fast and cool.

No heating, no crashing.

Thanks for always helping me with computer questions <MannBee>!!

Did you make money betting on this "Superior Bowl" they keep talking about?

Feb-02-09  technical draw: Thanks for that info (Ohio). A lot of right hand use is just ergonomics. Most things that are grasped are designed for right handed use.
Feb-02-09  technical draw: It might be easier for a lefty to pry open the door with his/her left hand than to make the decision to conform to right handed design and use the handle.

WannaBe: So far, we have M. Phelps smoking the funny stuff, and A-Roid admitting to taking PED, I wonder who will it be to make the 'triumvirate'...

You know, they always occur in threes!

WannaBe: Got this in an e-mail from <DrDum>, the third part of the article is really discouraging. =(

Feb-10-09  whiteshark: <WannaBe> <third part> (out of...???) starts when...???

WannaBe: <whiteshark> Maybe I should have said third section, or the third 'stanza'(??)...

Anyway, it began with:

<The track record is discouraging. Despite Franklin Roosevelt’s aggressive spending, unemployment reached 25 percent in 1933, fell only to 14 percent by 1937...>

Feb-11-09  whiteshark: Thank you <WannaBe>. Interesting stuff, indeed.
Feb-11-09  NakoSonorense: Troy Aikman any good? Graduating Class of 2009!
