Dec-25-10  Mr. President: If Joe shares one more TD joke I'm gonna fire him and make Sarah Palin veep. Every Tea Party is funnier than a TD joke. Thus I nominate <TheFocus> for the funniest oscar.

WannaBe: <HeMateMe> If you can't find the name for the Best Avatar, that would make my job difficult... I could try to contact the admin of CG and try to see if they know who 'owns' that avatar, but I am not sure if they have the time.

Can anyone else help out with this?

HeMateMe: I think this person kibitzes in big tournaments, like the Russian final, and the Women's WC. Not sure if you're familiar with the guitar case I'm referring to. try googling "album covers--Neil Young". If you already know what the album looks like, you should find him in recent kibitzing.

WannaBe: <Phony Benoni> Thanks for the try, I shall await for the confirmation from <HeMateMe> before it is offically recorded as a nominee, if that is not the one, and no one else can step in and help out, I am afraid I would have no choice but to ignore/discard that entry...

chancho: <WannaBe> the guitar case that <HeMateMe> mentioned from the Neil Young LP "Decade" does look like <Izimbra>'s avatar:

WannaBe: Alrighty then, it is hence, therefore, Q.E.D. that it is. case closed, it is <Izimbra>... It shall, and will be recorded as such.

Please carry on with the nominations, before I decide to smite anyone... =))

HeMateMe: Nice job Gents, that is the neil young album cover. As a close up, the guitar case is covered from passport stamps from the world's capitals.

Domdaniel: I would like to nominate <PhonyBenoni> as 'funniest kibitzer'. After all, he said this:

<It's funny how he keeps convincing people he's the Funniest Kibitzer. Although, come to think of it, I guess that's the point.>

... and I'm still laughing. Thanks, <Phony>.

HeMateMe: I'll nominate <You Rang> as most constructive kibitzer.

Historian: <Grayham Clayton>

Dec-27-10  Open Defence: I got nominated!! i got nominated!!

wait!! its in <TD's> category.. damn, back to solving clues...

Dec-27-10  hms123: Best Photographer: <Open Defence>
Dec-27-10  Open Defence: thanks <hms123> !!! if you were here I would give you hot jalebis and milk for dessert!!
Dec-27-10  technical draw: <I would like to nominate <PhonyBenoni> as 'funniest kibitzer'. After all, he said this: <It's funny how he keeps convincing people he's the Funniest Kibitzer. Although, come to think of it, I guess that's the point.>

It's good to make nominations, <Dom>, but remember when voting time comes you can't cast your vote based on one skinny little gag, right?

Being funniest kibitzer is not just fame and fortune. There are responsibilities. Continuous output, day after day, spreading joy and humor while helping the poor orphans of the world is TD's lifework. And you shouldn't exchange that for ONE very lucky (albeit good) joke.

Thanks, Dom, I'm counting on you being there for the kids......TD

Dec-27-10  Open Defence: this time its you vs me <TD>!! i've already got the judge to order a recount on standby!!

Phony Benoni: <technical draw: "I would like to nominate <PhonyBenoni> as 'funniest kibitzer'"...>

I don't care if I win or not. Such a ringing endorsement is enough for a dozen lifetimes.

Dec-27-10  technical draw: And a fine challenger you will be <OD>. I wouldn't mind losing to you or <JFQ>. However my kids will be disappointed. They look forward to receiving toys from the proceeds I get for funniest kibitzer. With their tiny little fingers they count the votes and anxiously await the results. Darn I think some of them are crying already....sob....
Dec-27-10  Open Defence: aah but your kids have the pride that you are a 3 time winner, I couldnt even solve a clue!

Domdaniel: <TD> Hold on, it was *grandchildren* just the other day. I know they grow up fast and all that ... and a chap in his prime like you can easily produce a second brood ... but still. I smell something piscine.

Anyhoo ... it's just a question of rustling up a credible challenger or two. You *define* humor round here.

But <Phony>'s reaction to accidentally winning a Clue Hunt prize ("no sirree") was also hilarious. Because he won, not by <finding the right answer for the wrong reason>, aka "pulling a TD" ... which has happened to several of us ... but by stumbling onto a prize while pursuing legitimate chessic activities. That's *got* to be worth a nomination, at least.

Or would you prefer to be crowned *in perpetua* by popular acclaim, and, hey, who needs voting ...?
