perfidious: <Jim>: Yes, Mandarich has been another mainstay near the top of those NFL 'biggest bust' lists. Seems to me it was noticed very early on that his hair was thinning, almost straight from university.

Circumstantial evidence, it is true, but makes one wonder whether he juiced.

May-03-13  Jim Bartle: I think Mandarich eventually admitted using steroids.

chancho: They were even talking about Mandarich putting the gloves on to fight Tyson.

That would have been a debacle.

perfidious: <chancho> Never heard about that idea as far as I remember, but I agree: Tyson would have knocked him silly.

WannaBe: <technical draw> You have someone on Ignore? I show 503. I already celebrated 500 a few pages ago. =))
May-10-13  technical draw: <<technical draw> You have someone on Ignore? I show 503. I already celebrated 500 a few pages ago. =))>

Yipes, you're right. I put 2 on ignore "temporally ", and forgot about them. I cleared the list and see 503 pages now.

May-10-13  technical draw: Of course in the legal sense I committed no crime because I just said, to wit, "499 pages". You inferred I meant there were 499 pages of comments on your forum so therefore you owe me an apology or $20, whichever comes first.

WannaBe: Ah, the importance of a comma. Make a short story long, a friend and I were discussing grammar the other day, and punctuations came up. (Especially the annoying comma)

In the movie "Philadelphia Story", with K. Hepburn, J. Stewart and C. Grant, there is this exchange, toward the end of movie:

Fiancee: "I expect a woman to behave, naturally."

Ex-Husband retorts: "I expect a woman to behave naturally."

Now, we take <OhioChessFan>'s post, and make minor modifications.

<OhioChessFan>: I'm sorry, <WannaBe> won't send you $20

<OhioChessFan>? I'm sorry <WannaBe>, won't send you $20

Greatly different meanings. =)

May-10-13  TheFocus: Without typing the whole joke, I'll just say: Panda.

WannaBe: <TheFocus> Eats shoots and leaves?
May-10-13  TheFocus: Yep. Panda.
May-11-13  technical draw: What's black and white and red all over.

A, An embarrassed Panda.

May-11-13  NakoSonorense: <<OhioChessFan>? I'm sorry <WannaBe>, won't send you $20>

I don't think there should be a comma in this instance. But panda is the answer!

May-11-13  technical draw: <What's black and white and red all over. >

The South African communist party.

May-11-13  technical draw: From <WannaBe>'s bio:

<13 consecutive 'Funniest Kibitzer' Caissar runner up, '05-'13.>

I only count 9 not 13.
