 | | perfidious: <Everyone: Why do you always pick on me?> If Ah gotta 'splain whah <everyone> picks on poor, bereft <Everyone>.... |

 | | perfidious: On another note, is it possible to save kibitzes to games which are deleted and have such, by merging the notes to the game which is retained, such as in the following example: Keres vs Sofman, 1962? The version with Black's correct surname has no kibitzes, but it would be good to keep those from the other (excluding my own reference to submitting a correction). |

| May-07-13 | | hms123: <WannaBe> Isn't there some old <Wabbit> saying about honey and vinegar and catching flies? If not, there should be. |

 | | perfidious: <hms123> Sure there is, but one must always be wary of those <Wascally Wabbits>! |

 | | chessgames.com: <perfidious: On another note, is it possible to save kibitzes to games which are deleted and have such, by merging the notes to the game which is retained, such as in the following example...> You think we never thought of that? Not only does merging games also preserve the kibitzing (sewing it together in chronological order) but it also merges the game collections. |
May-07-13
 | | chessgames.com: ...and as of recently, it also merges Guess-the-Move information including results and par scores. |

 | | Annie K.: <cg> do you ever get tired of hearing how you're the best chess site on the netz? =) (Totally btw, though, could you plz tend to some Bookie payoff...?) ;) |
| May-11-13 | | Eyal: <CG> I've noticed that when you have a game for live broadcast, the head-to-head stats between the two players is always off by an extra draw (for example, at the moment the search results show 20 draws, 14 classical, between Aronian & Karjakin, while there are actually 19 & 13 such games respectively according to your database) - I suppose this has to do with the broadcast game itself somehow automatically being tagged as a draw? |

 | | chessgames.com: <always off by an extra draw> If that's true, it's a bug. We'll check it out. |
| May-12-13 | | Eyal: I see you fixed it - thanks. |
| May-14-13 | | LIFE Master AJ: Confirm a rumor? <please> One user posted on my player page that CG was for sale. True - or untrue? |
May-14-13
 | | chessgames.com: <LMAJ> A few things: 1. With the moratorium on kibitzing in effect, your games are not a very high priority. Nevertheless, your game against Kopec is fine and we recently added it to the database: D Kopec vs A J Goldsby, 2012. 2. Your corrections slips on P Ballard vs A J Goldsby, 2013 that read <wrong score, delete> and <correct it or delete it> are useless to us because you fail to describe what exactly you believe to be incorrect. If you'd like to see it corrected, please submit a new slip with the details. 3. Your game submission McDonnell-La Bourdonnais 1834 was rejected because it's identical to McDonnell vs NN, 1830 (except that your version does not remove Ra1.) 4. Everything has a price, but Chessgames is not particularly for sale at this time. If you reread the post on your player page you'll find it is a different website being discussed. |
| May-14-13 | | LIFE Master AJ: It appears that Ballard left out at least one move pair. Either he did this accidentally ... or he did it on purpose to make the game look better. Either way, the game score is incorrect. I have no responsibility to fix it. And if you guys want to keep a game score that is known to be wrong ... well that would be just typical for this website. |
| May-14-13 | | LIFE Master AJ: And there are about 30-50 GM games that I have submitted ... that have never been posted ... |
May-14-13
 | | OhioChessFan: You apparently set the wrong date for the current live game, Anand-Karjakin so it's showing up in the wrong spot in the tournament crosstable. |
May-14-13
 | | chessgames.com: <wrong date for the current live game> Ooops, thanks. |
| May-16-13 | | Robed.Bishop: There are certainly times when I read LMAJ's posts on this forum that I must seriously consider the possibility that LMAJ has CG on ignore. |

 | | Annie K.: <cg> heey, are you trying a little accent experiment on the GOTD title? Very kewl - but it should really be Richard Réti, not Retí. :) |
May-17-13
 | | chessgames.com: <but it should really be Richard Réti, not Retí> Seriously? I could have sworn I've seen it with an í before! Thanks, will fix. |
May-17-13
 | | Annie K.: You're welcome! Yes, rét means meadow or grassland, so Réti means something like "grasslander", a person from the savanna. :) |
| May-17-13 | | Alien Math: <..Either way, the game score is incorrect. I have no responsibility to fix it. And if you guys want to keep a game score that is known to be wrong ... well that would be just typical for this website.> Them notes about your submissions
<wrong score, delete> and <correct it or delete it> <are useless to us because you fail to describe what exactly you believe to be incorrect.> <If you'd like to see it corrected, please submit a new slip with the details.> |

 | | Peligroso Patzer: Just a note that today's game, Wang vs. Anand, 1-0 in 38 moves, has not yet been included in your database for the Norway Tournament: http://www.chessgames.com/perl/ches.... |
May-18-13
 | | chessgames.com: It was the last one to come in for some reason. We've got them all now, thanks. |
