WannaBe: Java 8 Update 25 is out.

Win8.1 Pro with 32-bit IE verified with Chess Viewer Delux.

Win7 Ultimate with 64-bit IE verified, too. With CVD.

The neat thing with this version of installer, it will ask you to remove the old version. And not let it stay on your hard drive.

WannaBe: We should also have a bookie bet on how many pages there will be before the first move of the match.

And we can also have another bookie bet on how many posts will be deleted by admin on that forum page, too.

Tabanus: <CG> Can you use this picture of Antonio Angel Medina Garcia? It's pretty good, and from Spanish Ch in Madrid 1944:

Tabanus: <CG> Took me 10 minutes to find it again! It's from this page: http://www.ajedrez365.com/2013/01/f...

Tabanus: <CG> I think it's a great picture. Btw, the games from Mexico 1932 are not by him but by <Joaquin Medina ZavalĂa>, who is not in the database yet.

Oct-18-14  MarkFinan: <chessgames.com: Yes Mark, it was removed yesterday, along with the post that you quoted verbatim, for plainly obvious reasons.>

Yes. A post in a friends forum quoting a star wars film about no one in particular must be 100x worse than posts about male rape, people accusing other people of being a druggie, abortion clinic bombs, and people admitting they stalk someone, in someone else's forum!? Posts that are still there!

I'll never understand this place.

chessgames.com: Mark, we must be talking about different posts. The ones that were deleted most certainly were about a member in particular, referred to by an offensive and obscene nickname.

If you have anything more to say about this matter please email us at chess@chessgames.com.

Oct-18-14  MarkFinan: I think I've just realised. Fair enough, but I honestly didn't think the guy would be that offended. Sorry.
Oct-19-14  Yopo: America's Continental

Round 2 will be running today
http://chess-results.com/tnr147485....

Yesterday, two curious results_
Gms Kaidanov and Mekhitarian
tied with opponents who have 500 rating pts less than them. For this amazing initial slip, they will play at the tables 48 and 49.

Penguincw: Now would probably be a good time to open up a page for the Tashkent Grand Prix. The opening ceremony will be tomorrow, while I believe Round 1 starts at 5am eastern on Tuesday. :)
