<Touchdown!>
Nice to see you in good form. I believe you have won "Funniest Kibbutzer" for 12 years in a row now? |
|
| Apr-03-15 | | technical draw: Hi, <Your Majesty>. nope, never been on a Kibbutz. |

<Torrential Downpour> I may be operating under a faulty definition.
I do recall that you can tell jokes in Spanish. At this time of the year in Spain, the air is redolent with fragrant orange kibbutzers, if I'm not mistaken. |
|
| Apr-03-15 | | technical draw: Sorry, Queen, you may be confused with the Kona orange from Spain which was originally called the Kaliua-Kona when it came from Hawaii. But in the 50's Kibbutzim actually grew oranges. Today they mainly make airplane parts. |

| Apr-04-15 | | kellmano: Hi <chessgames>. I think if you are interested in keeping traffic you ought to show more live games. I was just considering signing up to chess24 to watch Nakamura - So. I'd much rather watch here as the chat seems a bit trolly over there and the comp analysis dominates, but if I am representative of your users, it's something you might consider. |

 | | Penguincw: I second that post by <kellmano>. It's been a while since the last Live Broadcast on this site. Broadcasting some U.S. Championship games would be great to see. If you only like to broadcast "whole" tournaments or maybe "higher-class", then there's the Gashimov Memorial starting April 16th. |

 | | chessgames.com: <keypusher: Is there a reason Naka-So from the US championship hasn't been uploaded?> The games don't always appear as soon as they are finished, we poll the site every so often. It's there now. <Time for the Easter decorations!> We decided to skip the bunny rabbit and egg this year, not knowing that it would be missed. (Our Easter salute was the pun of the day.) You want the bunny? OK, sure. The bunny is back. <I think if you are interested in keeping traffic you ought to show more live games. I was just considering signing up to chess24 to watch Nakamura - So. I'd much rather watch here as the chat seems a bit trolly over there and the comp analysis dominates, but if I am representative of your users, it's something you might consider.> That's a very good point. People come here to keep abreast on current tournaments so it's only logical that they come here to see them in progress as well. We don't want to be like chessbomb / chess24 / etc. with their chatroom-style discussions and saturated in computer analysis, but our one-game-at-a-time method is rather primitive. I think we can find a happy middle-ground. In the meantime though, the solution is to stick with our current software and just use it more frequently. The only work to be done is to make those little graphics of the players to appear by the side of the board. |

 | | chessgames.com: <WinKing: Has <Fabiano Caruana> become a chessgames member? I see he has visited several of our forums.> We are in the process of determining that right now. The answer is either "Yes, and we're quite honored to have him." or "No, and somebody is pulling a prank." Based on IP addresses and other forensics, I'm afraid that the answer might be "prank" — but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for the moment until he responds to my email. The good news is that Fabiano is on Twitter so if nothing else, I can reach out to the real GM there and confirm or deny. |
