 | | chessgames.com: In other news:
<SECURE SSL CERTIFICATE> It has come to our attention that the secure certificate for Chessgames expired two days ago! This gives ominous warnings when you try to renew or register a premium account. We are very sorry, and have corrected the problem. If you still receive the error, try restarting your browser. (Please understand that at no time was our secure sever ever unsecured; SSL expiration dates have little to do with security and everything to do with how domain companies make their money.) <CHESSGAMES TEAM GAME IV> We're putting it together now. The next game will be a 'normal' correspondence game, which is to say, computers are fully allowed. It will only be available to premium members. |

| Jul-22-15 | | Abdel Irada: <chessgames.com: Do I see it as gold? Not really. I'm not even sure if "gold" is a properly defined color.> To the extent that it is, it refers to any of various yellowish shades, but I agree that in the absence of the actual metallic color, it is pretty inexact. <It just sounds classier than "brown."> Just don't say that to G.K. Chesterton. :-D

btw, is there a reason why Klaus Junge page has no customized features like <MOST PLAYED OPENINGS>, <NOTABLE GAMES>, <NOTABLE TOURNAMENTS> or <GAME COLLECTIONS>. Just wondering why 105 Junge games don't have these features, while 101 games of Paul Felix Schmidt do have them. tia :) |

 | | chessgames.com: Thanks for the photo and game.
<wondering why 105 Junge games don't have these features, while 101 games of Paul Felix Schmidt do have them> I'm wondering that myself. I just gave Junge the <Chessgames Star of Megaimportance> which will surely fix the issue. |

 | | chessgames.com: <Miss S> That one's still waiting in your newest batch, although with less precise names ("L B Meyer / J W Brunnemer"). I'll be sure to use the full names when it gets processed. |

 | | MissScarlett: Yes, it seemed familiar. Couldn't believe Capa could play so lamely twice. But don't let me delay you. |

| Aug-01-15 | | twinlark: Hi ceegee
I'd like to recommend a small change to the bios. Many players are registered with federations in countries in which they are not citizens. Hence the country of origin/citizen of country dichotomy is false, eg: Wesley So is not a US citizen, and nor has Naiditsch suddenly become a citizen of Azerbaijan, afaik. Taking a cue from FIDE's player cards, eg Caruana's: https://ratings.fide.com/card.phtml..., a small global change such as "federation" instead of "citizen of USA" would make this clear. That is instead of "citizen of the United States of America", simply substitute "Federation: United States of America". |

 | | Tabanus: <MissScarlett> How long have you waited? The games I submitted games about 6 weeks ago are still not in. |
|
Aug-01-15
 | | MissScarlett: Three weeks or so since the last batch appeared. Let's be clear - I'm not asking for special treatment, I'm just expecting it. |
|
Aug-01-15
 | | Tabanus: Me too :))
<CG> Please check if the 17 missing games from 18th DSB Kongress (1912) are in? To judge from the kibitzing they were submitted by <perf> Jun-20-14. |
|
| Aug-02-15 | | technical draw: I keep getting the duplicate post message. That's because my mouse is double clicking. It's time to buy a new mouse. |
|
| Aug-02-15 | | MarkFinan: I just wanted to say that when I <thought> I was seeing the text on the kibitzing in red, I really was. I took a screenshot from when I was seeing red (!?) and another one the day after when I wasn't seeing red. One of the screenshots is still red, one of the screenshots is black. I wasn't seeing things basically. |
