chessgames.com: <Is it possible to add "chessforums", so I don't have to click on kibitz then chessforums?> I'm a little confused at what you mean by "the right side." Do you mean that menu that looks like ☰ ? (Which is commonly called a "hamburger menu".) That's on the left side.

Note that if you click on "Recent Kibitzing" on the mobile homepage, it will unfold a list of pages, and at the bottom reads <Also see our user moderated chessforums.> So there is a link to the chessforums, just a bit hidden.

I've been contemplating the idea of making it so that advanced users who have set up their Menu Configuration Page can have their links appear in the hamburger menu, but there are complications when the list is so long it requires scrolling.

WannaBe: I am sorry, meant left but finger typed "right" side... And I found the "Recent Kibitzing" link, after scrolling down.

So I think the 'faster' method, is to go to Hamburger -> Kibitzing -> Chess Forum, instead of scrolling -> click on link -> more scrolling -> User moderated forum.

But thanks for the info!

=)

WannaBe: Either that, or I'll bookmark it (chess forum page) as Chrome's default start page, and skip the home page!

chessgames.com: While we're on the topic, the Recent Kibitzing Page should be next in line to become mobile-friendly.
Mar-24-17  Transformer: Are there pages for the Men's and Women's 2017 US Chess Championships? http://uschesschamps.com/2017-us-ch...

If not, can we have them? Thanks.

  jessicafischerqueen:

Er not sure how I feel about being forced to read <chess 101> slogans every time I post a kibbutz?

Is there any way to "opt out" of the plan in which I have to read "A knight on the rim is dim" 5000 times a day?

I already heard that one, Eseh.

chessgames.com: Suggest more chess aphorisms and we'll have a collection so big that we won't be bored every time.

Plus, here's a thought:

Maybe it could be set up like a lottery, so that one lucky poster out of a hundred could get to read a special user-suggested one, and as an extra bonus they'd get a special forum where they could add to the list of user-suggested ones as well.

I think the funny ones would be welcome.

Can I suggest a new one now, <MannBee> style?

WannaBe: Forgot to mention this, while watching NCAA basketball (March Madness) on CBS, there was a promo for 60 minutes and it had a bunch of kids playing chess.

Wonder what that was about (volumn was down at the watering hole, so I had no idea what the voice over said)...

And I think the episode is tonight.

  chessgames.com: That was adorable.

Personally, I've been considering volunteering my own time at a local high school that has a chess club; that short video might have given me the urge to actually do it. (I just wish I had an anonymous rich benefactor to fund the effort.)
