< Earlier Kibitzing  · PAGE 144 OF 453 ·  Later Kibitzing>
Nov-20-20  thegoodanarchist: < nok: <tga: You are completely delusional, zanzibar. There is no "gang" oppressing you. Spare us your victim mentality, please.

A real man can deal with criticism, and learns to do so.>

BP's "criticism" >

We live in an age of lies. But you'd think at least people would *try* to make them believable.

Instead, <nok> spliced together my reply to 2 different posts, about 2 completely different topics.

First was <BP>'s response to <keypusher>:

chessgames.com chessforum (kibitz #34441)

<See that? Like I said, it's all about EGO. Got news for you <keypusher>, nobody values your crap posts on the Rogoff page, so if you want to save them, go use the search kibitzing function, find them, save them in a Word doc and keep them on your PC.>

To which <zanzy> replied: <BP's disrespect and disdain towards others knows no bounds.>

And THAT is the post I was replying to when I wrote <A real man can deal with criticism, and learns to do so.>

NOT the "dog packing" post where <zanzy> dreamed up a DOS attack.

I mean, even a child could see through this lie, <nok>.

But we already know you don't worry about embarrassing yourself by making such gaffes.

Nov-20-20  thegoodanarchist: <Keyser Soze:

The "rightwingers" already left for <<<big pawn>>>s forum. Right?>

I wouldn't say "rightwingers". I would say the people who debate the central points. The people who post replies that are high up on Graham's Hierarchy.

Not to say there is no trash talking, but the japes and jibes are sprinkled among serious, substantive points.

Nov-20-20  thegoodanarchist: <Robed.Bishop: Hmm, it's been awhile since I've visited this forum. I see the "Rogoff arguments" have moved here.>

I don't think so. Instead I'd say that the Rogoff forum itself, and the existence of off topic posts in it, is the subject of this discussion.

Susan *requested* member input about what to do with the forum, and for the most part, that is what is being given.

And then <nok> showed up to muddy the waters.

Very well. BP's "criticism":

<Aug-27-18 Big Pawn: Because <Zanzibar> mocks God, he will fall under judgment. One day he could come home from work and find his entire family has been raped at gun point and mutilated. He would stand there and cry like a baby, but God is a just God and his judgment is righteous.

Jul-03-20 Big Pawn:
There is no compromise. There is no negotiation... The libs are like tooth decay for America. ...It takes one bullet, just one... The <Noks> and <Zanzibars> of America will be found and killed.>

Comments on your leader, tga?

Nov-20-20  Z4all: I love how <bp> speaks for God...

Kenneth S Rogoff (kibitz #346316)

In my retort, just below, I noted how it was pointless to complain about <bippy>'s dibble -

Useless then, useless now.

.

Nov-20-20  realdumptrump: <nok> do you know how to use the right-click trick to find perm links to old posts?

That's a trick <Zanzibar> invented, and it was <Zanzibar> who instructed <Daniel> on how to implement it. A very useful improvement to <CG>, among many others things <Zany> actually contributed to this website (like CC codes, the C.N. auto-links, the Source tag, various tournament / match pages, etc.).

But those epics adventures were in the days past...

Still though, such a legend, that even after being gone for a year and a half people were still talking about him -

Kenneth S Rogoff (kibitz #436363) [Jul 03, 2020]

* * * * *

You know, one could perceive the quote as an actual criminal threat, or as just more crap spewed by <MrBig>, or both.

I find it all rather amazing, and dispiriting, to see <Susan Freeman> coddle such a questionable, self-absorbed, character here on <CG>.

People should know the stuff of those who pick the sides.

.

Nov-20-20  Robed.Bishop: <thegoodanarchist> I agree that Susan asked for some input, and the first few posts were responsive to her request. The discussion has, however, deteriorated to Rogoff levels.

I don’t have a dog in the fight and I don’t care what happens to the Rogoff pages. From where I stand, this continuing “discussion” is not helping the cause of those who want the Rogoff pages to continue as in the past.

Ultimately, of course, the decision is beyond us both.

Carry on.

I didn't know that. I knew the trick, but not the history. Very useful indeed. I didn't know you were "Z" realdump until recently, either. My respects, sir.

Nov-20-20  Big Pawn: <I didn't know that. I knew the trick, but not the history. Very useful indeed. I didn't know you were "Z" realdump until recently, either. My respects, sir.>

I did.

The purple hair, nose ring and the lisp gave it away.

Not my website, and definitely not my Rogoff page. You do what you want. But it does feel strange. <Zanzibar> has contributed a lot to the website, while <Big Pawn> is a troll who wrecks things, or tries to.

Nov-20-20  thegoodanarchist: < nok:

Comments on your leader, tga?>

My leader is Jesus Christ, my lord and savior. He is the eternal word of God, became flesh, and dwelt among us. He was crucified and died for our sins, then raised from the dead, so that mankind may have God's gift of eternal salvation.

You are mortal, <nok>. You'd best look into Christ's work and message. Eternity is a long time.

I can usually tell from posting styles. Some people have very distinct styles - they can't conceal their identities to save their lives.

Nov-20-20  Ybr: We need more such voices like that of <keypusher>

Well...

Nov-20-20  wtpy: BP, I always read Keypusher 's posts with great interest.
Nov-20-20  wtpy: Susan, Like al wazir, I also do not participate in any other social media site. And I appreciate that posters like Keypusher, John L, and Count W, who sadly has not been here for awhile, have a forum where they can express their considerable insights. By and large I have successfully avoided most of the more acrimonious disputes. There are times when the tone gets quite strident on Rogoff, but I don't mind a robust expression of beliefs even if sometimes that expression slides into trollery.

Check It Out: <tga: I can usually tell from posting styles. Some people have very distinct styles - they can't conceal their identities to save their lives.>

What's your opinion on <George Wallace>'s style? Quite a few (including me) think it's <Big Pawn>. Do you think that? I note you asked <Big Pawn> if it was him and he did not give you a direct answer. The fact that you asked him at all leads me to believe you probably suspect it, else you wouldn't have asked.

Nov-20-20  optimal play: <saffuna: ... <big pawn>, <optimal play> and others fled the Rogoff page back in August to a new safe space where they would be free from criticism and nobody would remind them of all their posts exalting Trump's invincibility.>

Jim, you're being deliberately disingenuous.

You know very well, as I already explained, that the only reason we vacated the Rogoff forum was because we were being victimised by (I suspect) a particular admin at the behest of <Nozzle the Parrot> who was going berserk on the forum and also here on the Chessgames forum, loudly complaining about every conservative post.

It had nothing to do with being "free from criticism" or "Trump's invincibility".

It would therefore be appreciated if you could post a retraction of your erroneous comment.

Check It Out: <optimal play> I find it strange the amount of power you have attributed to this <Nozzle the Parrot> (and a mystery admin), that he could run a bunch of posters, including yourself, off Rogoff. It doesn't add up.

saffuna: Oh right, <optimal play>. Sure.

If so, why can't any of us post at the <Free Speech Zone> [sic]?

The fact remains most of the conservatives left the Rogoff page this year, at the same time it was becoming your great hero was going to be defeated.

We weren't "run off Rogoff", we voluntarily stopped posting there because our comments were being deleted.

Nov-20-20  optimal play: <saffuna: Oh right, <optimal play>. Sure. If so, why can't any of us post at the <Free Speech Zone>?>

I have advocated for you to be able to post on the Non-PC Free Speech Zone.

<The fact remains most of the conservatives left the Rogoff page this year, at the same time it was becoming your great hero was going to be defeated.>

We left at the end of July.

The election was in November.

And the writing was on the wall.

Guess I missed that...

Correct.

Now the Elite Posters can post seriously, substantive and with insight in the <Free Speech Zone> and not have to worry about posts being deleted, and if they are, we now have <Offensive Truth> should the censoring come our way.
