Willber G: If they haven't already, I suggest the development team create a simple snag list.

This could contain a table that shows all the known faults/improvements and the stage at which they are in resolution, for example: Planning, Development, Testing, Implementation.

This list should be published weekly (on this forum or elsewhere) so that members can review it and provide further suggestions.

The purpose of this is threefold:

1. To give members confidence that all reported bugs and suggestions are being considered and dealt with;

2. To provide up-to-date information on progress;

3. To prevent repeated complaints based often on purely the lack of clarity of the site's situation.

As someone who has managed IT projects for decades, this is the least I would provide for my customers.

Jun-28-21  nok: <jfq: <nok><Paid or unpaid. Depends if you want to support a business firing employees who oppose racism.>

Nothing like that came up in my conversations with <Annie K>. Annie never told me she was "fired" and she never once mentioned being prevented from "opposing racism.">

My bad, was it sexism?

Don't worry about it.

I was given an ultimatum, I don't respond well to ultimatums from my employees. so.... Annie quit.

Was that all? Why would that cause her to fall out with <Miss Susan>? Can't she come back and <OCF> leave instead? The site urgently requires a general manager who's familiar with the chess world.

fredthebear: Great to hear from you again <Richard Taylor>. We always wonder what has happened to our long valued members who go silent. Your coherent statements are refreshing here.

Frankly, I'm not one to make frequent statements on this particular forum until recently. My political posts were rare this year until late June (I used to do about 20 games a day here focusing on finishes, give or take but have been visiting other chess sites more often). Then I was trolled for a brief comment about the unnecessary uncivility on this site and that brought out the vultures to prove my point. One has-nothing-to-say troller has 1,800 PAGES of rants against President 45, and so he lies about my position when I haven't said boo about it this year. Why should trolls get the first and last say, and smears in between? It's just weeds proliferating unnecessarily in our chess garden. The actual chess on this site is dying, as intelligent people like yourself participate much less often, if they haven't left the site already. I saw that AylerKupp had enough and left, but apparently stopped by for the theatrics today.

Some of my non-chess posts have been deleted. The person who deletes the post should have to lay claim to that. Management allows a blatantly racist and self-professed CYBER BULLY George W to rant and rave and attack good folks and dissenting bears, but I'm the one who is censored. Clearly, a double standard, same as in the failing news media. So anyone who is a liberal progressive can say anything they want. We bears gets censored.

This site needs far more censorship. Hurtful and hateful comments, trolls and cyber bullies must be banned. Off-topic? Forget it. The owner is off-topic, trying to be popular instead of professional. I won't be renewing my subscription next year unless there is new ownership who actually cares about chess and takes out the garbage.

Steve is working on getting the engine analysis up and running.

We are having trouble processing the charge cards, and are using pay pal only, That has to be fixed stat.

I have physical possession of the two CG servers.

I will issue a progress report later.

Strange, he never seems to bother me. In fact, given his vaunted chess prowess, I would like to encourage him to challenge User: harrylime for the <cg.com> title. The champion, of course, cannot be the one doing the challenging.

?First of all, they came to take the gypsies
and I was happy because they pilfered.
Then they came to take the Jews and I said nothing, because they were unpleasant to me.
Then they came to take homosexuals,
and I was relieved, because they were annoying me. Then they came to take the Communists,
and I said nothing because I was not a Communist. One day they came to take me,
and there was nobody left to protest.

fredthebear: Those of us who faithfully read the chess posts recall the days when FMs, IMs, and GMs frequented here. Natalia was here not that long ago. http://www.pogonina.com/

< encourage him to challenge User: harrylime for the <cg.com> title.> Just a hunch, but I don't think HL could punch his way out of a wet paper bag nowadays. He certainly does not deserve to play for a chess championship, given that he has nothing but BF cheers on the chess side. Any playoff should include real chess contributors. HL should be the DJ for the bout. Well, except that there are no disc jockeys for chess matches.

Something tells me that "Plang" would be one tough cookie to face if it were an honest game: User: plang What are the odds of having an honest game on this site?

A playoff might not serve a positive purpose, particularly for the combatants. Those who already make noise don't need the platform. Those who truly care about chess express their chess ability in other ways not found here. For example, <HonzaC> does not need to prove anything. Still, the idea was worth considering.

MissScarlett: Do you just want to strip <Hazz> of his title, or do you want him removed, as well?

Let titled players do as they please. They offer very little beyond their games.

fredthebear: <MissScarlett>. I've already had plenty to say here today. Thank you for asking, but I don't wish to comment further at this time. Back to the real purpose of this site -- actual chess games.
Jun-28-21  pepefava12: Hi guys! how are we this week?
Jun-28-21  George Wallace: <Susan Freeman: <nok> you are beginning to sound like an old gossipy woman (gasp, was that sexist of me?)>

Throw cold water all over the snowflake.

<Susan> has earned her first Elite Poster norm.

Jun-28-21  George Wallace: < fredthebear: Great to hear from you again <Richard Taylor>. We always wonder what has happened to our long valued members who go silent. Your coherent statements are refreshing here.>

<FTB> worries about offensive posters chasing millions of anonymous members off of CeeGee, so he shows us the way by complimenting a non-offensive poster.

<The actual chess on this site is dying, as intelligent people like yourself participate much less often, if they haven't left the site already.>

Hey <FredTheBear>?

How many people do you think <Richard Taylor> chased off the site with this comment?

<richard taylor: but of course whoever "did the Towers" (and no one knows who did - who do you believe? - there was never proper investigation) put on a spectacular display - I enjoyed watching it on the day - the history of US oprresion and invasions etc is so bad since 1945 that one feels sympathy with those who express such things >

Kibitzer's Café (kibitz #27059)

He enjoyed watching 911.

<Fred the Bear's> hero!

<Richard taylor: I am part of the World Domination League of Fanatics who Hate the US. We are very enthusiastic: we are pleased with our most spectacular result so far: nine eleven I think it was, a couple of old buildings that fell down when someone sneezed near them and some sad old accountants karked it.......That was one of our successes. (We failed to blow up Greenwich, England, and a poor lad was killed unfortunately...and what was his name BP?..in any case...we have done many many more lovely terrorisms and are having a wonderful and jolly time!!>

Yes, let us take advice from <FTB> who seems especially tuned in to what's really going on here at <CG>.

Can you imagine <Richard Taylor> actually said those things? Look, if he can say that and not be banned for life here, then no one should complain about <CG> not censoring anyone else.

Just move on with life and quit your crying.

Old <Harry the Limey> can't have a serious blitz match because he says his connection is too slow.
