Saint Louis Rapid (2021)

Some blitz games are missing.

MissScarlett: You mean, more courtesy draws by Wesley and Nakamura?
Aug-17-21
Premium Chessgames Member
Stonehenge: Well, I was looking into it, and the first problem was Nakamura-So or So-Nakamura.

The game processor thinks it's a duplicate and rejects the game. But another problem is that TWIC has So-Naka and chessbomb (live games) has Naka-So.

MissScarlett: The latest leg of the Champions Chess Tour starts tmoz:

https://championschesstour.com/

No Vincent Keymer, though, who won the recent Kramnik Challenger event.

<The only question is whether Vincent will be able to play, since the final regular Champions Chess Tour event starts on August 28th and clashes with the European Championship, which Vincent was set to play. In any case, the victory is certain to give him chances now or in future! >

Aug-29-21  0ZeR0: Greetings. I was wondering if this year’s U.S. Open has been posted yet. I heard Aleksandr Lenderman won and am interested in seeing the games.

Translation - <stonehenge>, jump to it.

Yes, I asked the way I did so as not to seem too demanding. I understand that volunteers like yourself and <Stonehenge> have lives away from this site. And I greatly appreciate your help in keeping this thing running.

Don't bet on it.

Anyway, I can't find PGN for this tournament.

<Anyway, I can’t find PGN for this tournament.>

Darn, that’s a bummer. Is there a usual place where you get the PGN from? Perhaps I could try to find the PGN of the games from a different source?

Aug-29-21  0ZeR0: I’m not sure if this is what you need, but it appears you can download the PGN for the U.S. Open by clicking on each of the rounds here:

<1. Nf3 [%clk 01:36:51] d5 [%clk 01:40:29] [%emt 00:00:12] 2. g3 [%clk 01:37:14] [%emt 00:00:11] Nf6 [%clk 01:40:45] [%emt 00:00:08] 3. Bg2 [%clk 01:37:38] [%emt 00:00:38] e6 [%clk 01:40:44] 4. O-O [%clk 01:37:10] [%emt 00:01:26] c5> etc.

But I'm afraid it's Netflix time for me, I'm closed for today :)

Aug-29-21  0ZeR0: Oh well, it was worth a shot. I’ll keep looking for clean PGN.

Aye, enjoy your time off!

FSR: <chessgames> On August 28, 2021, <Jean Defuse> on Miss Scarlett's forum (MissScarlett chessforum) posted links to a book by Taylor Kingston on a site called mediafire. Mr. Kingston has informed me on Facebook that he did not authorize his book to be posted for download on mediafire. This is a theft of his intellectual property, in violation of copyright law. Please take Jean Defuse's comment down. (I am not operating as Mr. Kingston's attorney, but I wish to apprise you of this apparent violation of copyright law, and hence also of chessgames' rules.)

<0ZeR0> US Open (2021) We added the first 2 rounds.
I'll be adding more throughout the day.
I'm using a feature I am unfamiliar with to process them, let me know if you spot any discrepancies.

<Stone> There seems to be a "flag" we can pass with the gameloader script that removes annotation, such as clock value.
I can update the processor for editors to be able to pass that flag, if you think it may be helpful for other PGNs.
Thanks for all of your help!

<juan>, <Ohio> We've been making updates to CG's automated system over the weekend, it that seems to have helped with the spikes of Internal Server Errors.
We should be seeing them less often.
We are down to the last few, repetitive, errors and warnings.
I believe I see the light at the end of the tunnel regarding these errors?.

Excellent, thank you! And will do.
