<Jim> what about when he was <Jane Eyre>? I want to see more interpretive photos of our hero...

Jim Bartle: <Why should I have disbelieved it, even assuming I did? All the other leaks bore fruit. You, on the other hand, have been wrong about everything. Epic fail.>

You wrote quite a bit about it, insisted it was true, <spode>. You should have disbelieved it because there was video of Wilson walking around feeling fine, and the Internet guy who printed it has a terrible reputation.>

<Jim> Good heavens!

Jun-03-22  Z free or die: <<JFQ> - <Jim> Good heavens!>

Or, as the case may be, <Hell's Bells!>.

<z> While I'm willing to entertain any reasonably argued position, I'm not sure I would characterize our hero as a minion of Satan. If he lived in Hell I think he'd be more likely to stage a coup and put himself on the throne. Kind of like he did here at cg.com.

That said, I wouldn't do without him. He's immensely valuable/helpful when it comes to chess history. The unintentionally comedic figure he strikes is just extra fun in my view.

<z> That's well said, and far from the first time...

Is anyone else getting this error message recently? I have been getting it on and off for 24 hours now.

This notice appears regularly, and after it appears then it allows me to see the cg.com page in question I am trying to reach:

<This page isn’t working right nowwww.chessgames.com didn’t send any data. ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE>

This has been happening regularly for the past 24 hours now...

<Jim> I no rite? Although the membership should know how to maximize their experience here.

The cheapskate above complaining about "too many advertisements" for example. I bet he does not know that he could eliminate virtually every one of those ads simply by using an adblock browser extension.

However I just got this message again and a 20 second delay till I was returned to this page: <This page isn’t working right nowwww.chessgames.com didn’t send any data. ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE>

It would be nice if an admin or owner stepped up and looked in to this. If the problem is with my browser or settings I would like to know that as well. That said, I am not getting this error message on any other website, and I have already visited over 10,000,000 websites this morning alone...

And got it again before my previous post was published, again with a 20 second delay:

<This page isn’t working right nowwww.chessgames.com didn’t send any data. ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE>

I would appreciate some feedback from someone who actually knows what they are talking about.
