jessicafischerqueen: Your over there regimen sounds salubrious! Interestingly, in Canada we save time by spelling "music and poker" as "moker." Initially we spelled it "poomus" but that sounded a little too declasse, even for us...

Liar, liar, pants on fire! I have only made one sock puppet and retired him many years ago. So take that "Everyone"!

Sep-26-11  Pyke: <jessicafischerqueen: <Pyke> thanks for the film critic link, however it won't open on any of my browsers?

Maybe Korea has blocked it.>

Hi <Jess>,

sorry for the late reply.

That's too bad. You could try to look up their Youtube channel, Redlettermedia. They have most of their productions there as well. Maybe that one's available to you.

I never knew George Lucas (they make fun of him quite bit) had that many powerful connections in South Korea.

Sep-26-11  Boomie: <jessicafischerqueen: <Tim> thanks for critiquing that woeful list of poker handles. I have to confess I have a grudge against poker, on the sole reason that it distracts <Greg Shahade> and <Alexander Drawschuck> from more serious study of chess at long time controls.

Despite conventional wisdom, chicks regard poker to be even nerdier than chess- if that's possible.>

No, it's not possible.

Poker is mas macho. Many top players are former pro athletes. You can smell the testosterone. Chess is a far nerdier game.

How is Korea treating ya still, when you coming back to the land o' snow and cold and Es-kee-mos? No more problems with your PC??

Sep-27-11  waustad: There are always public/private issues with music. In public, people seem to like it when I do Elvis ballads. My own feeling is that Franz Schubert is obviously the greatest song writer of all time.

Sep-30-11  waustad: Forgive my French if I spell it wrong, but I think it is called Plaisier d'amour.
Sep-30-11  waustad: I'm not an impersonator, though a friend of mine was married by one. I just occasionally sing some. "Wise Men Say ..." is a good song. It is based on a 200 year old song, which is sort of fun. I'd have to look a little more to remember the details, but the root song was written by a German who took an Italian name and wrote in French. In the movie where it was introduced, Elvis says that they got the tune from a European music box.
Sep-30-11  waustad: I know they are in the wrong order but I fixed a typo.
