How in the world can someone with the GM title play 40 ♔e4xe5?? ?

White's unbelievable blunder is compounded by the fact that Black's last move was 39 ... ♗f6-d8. Did White really think that Ju Wenjun (Black) was just giving away her e5-pawn for nothing??

jessicafischerqueen: <Blazing Noodle> thanks for that detailed information. I'd been suspecting it might be a premium brand of Scotch.

It reminded me of Stephen Leacock's observation that "If the Scots stopped drinking Scotch whiskey they could save up enough money to leave Scotland."

blazerdoodle: blazing noodle? lol. It's a desperate struggle to get a serious moniker. The Scots have some good Scotch. They're safe, lol. I never was fan of Bon Jovi. Whenever they played they sounded like another band, and I was always stopping to listen, then realizing it wasn't the band I thought it was.

As God is my witness, I thought your avatar was a big bowl of spaghetti with hot sauce. Also, I'll never go hungry again.

<Whenever they played they sounded like another band, and I was always stopping to listen, then realizing it wasn't the band I thought it was.>

That's quite brilliant, you'd make a good rock critic.

Naw. Like Sam, I just like to say BANANG!

Mar-08-13  Boomie: <Jesster the Molester: Also, did you know <Bon Jovi> has good music?>

I had to reluctantly come to the same conclusion. Not your typical studio manufactured boy band. They had a great run in the late 80's with chart topping singles and albums. These guys write great songs.

Also it should be noted that Jon Bongiovi is a genuinely nice man who has devoted a lot of time and money to many charitable causes.

So what's not to like?

<Who knew?>

Me apparently.

Mar-08-13  Travis Bickle: Hey Jess I've always liked this song by Neil Young & the video is interesting too.

Some lunatic has posted the Sam and Max games on YouTube. Here's the first part of the first one which includes that interrogation of Jimmy Two-Teeth I tried to describe a while back. "I wish I could unsee that!"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2e2...

BTW - The series should be viewed/played in order since there are recurring characters and themes.

Mar-10-13  Boomie: <Wild Jessticulations>

I feel I have been remiss in my duties as TV maven for JFQ Ent. This is partly due to the lack of anything nearly as good as the Closer or House appearing lately. Mostly it's just laziness.

One you may like from BBC is Ripper Street about policing Whitechapel around Jack's time. Curiously it has nothing to do with the Ripper case in the ones I've seen. I know you like the "rough trade" in shows and this does not disappoint. The interrogation techniques are both cruel and unusual. Britannia truly rules the waves. Well, the airwaves anyhoo.
