40 ♖a3-a1?? <unprotected piece: a1-rook>

<paulalbert: I suppose Ra1 on move 40 was a time pressure blunder by Chuky>

Yes, but's it is not difficult to see, even in time trouble, that

<UNDEFENDED> White a1-rook + <EXPOSED> White g1-king + <CENTRALIZED> Black e2-queen = <QUEEN FORK>

The rook was much better off on the a3-sq, where it was <PROTECTED> by the White d6-bishop. And as GM Bent Larsen famously said, <KAPP -> KEEP ALL PIECES PROTECTED!>.

  jessicafischerqueen: ack <Travis> I'm frazzled because I'm trying to pack up all my CRAP in time for the move to a new school and BOTH SCHOOLS are giving me work to do AT THE SAME TIME which is impossible.

My old school wants to wring every last ounce of sweat out of me while I'm still around, and my new school is anxious that I start "pulling my load" as soon as possible. Preferably by yesterday.

I had to go to my Vice-principal today and tell him in broken Korean that the Vice-principal of my new school ordered me to report there at 10:am tomorrow for orientation. The new school is at the opposite end of the city, a 2 hour bus ride.

Here's an English translation of my conversation, in which I managed to make myself understood in Korean-

Me: "Hello?! Me. Teacher Long Duck-dong. Seo-Cinnamon-Byun Middle School. 10:am. Here. There. Go go. Ok?"

Vice Principal: "Ok."

It's easy to speak a foreign language if you don't use any verbs.

Example:

"Foreign language easy, no verb ok?"

See? Perfectly comprehensible.

Anyways I'm half-mad from no sleep so I'll be back when I can to answer kind post offices here in my forum.

As soon as I'm not comatose after work. Not to mention during.

Jul-08-13  Travis Bickle: Jess just remember you can stop this horrible nightmare by just listening to this song & tapping your toes together 3 times & keep repeating I wish I was back in Vancouver, I wish I was... ; P
