Chances are that you have seen it, but watch again; it is full of gems and the acting is mostly very good to just excellent. Stars Michael Madsen, Harold Perrineau,who is brilliant, and a damn good waitress, Amber Benson. One hour and 20 minute Jozza documentary, and in 720p too. Nicely spotted- It's almost finished downloading and I will watch it soon. My Beatles folder is bigger than my Genesis folder now. Doh! I guess it's because I only collect Genesis up to 1976, and the Beatles have a lot more stuff about them for obvious reasons. |

I know the prevailing wisdom is that today's CGI clogged monsters are better adventures but I just don't get it. You can't make a better adventure movie. Brace yourself for another unsubstantiated urban legend. Mae West went to Hollywood to save Paramount from certain demise. After negotiating a salary of $1 more per year than the studio head (heh), she walked with a VP to her car. She noticed a man across the street. West: Who's the tall, dark, and handsome?
VP: Oh, he's just an extra. A nobody really.
West: I want him to play the lead in my first movie.
Thus Cary Grant was born. |

Oddly, she made two low budget horror movies just before hitting the jackpot with <The Hungry Hungry Hippo Games>....> This is hilarious! I also agree with you that most movies today are infantile. I just got Hansel and Gretel from Netflix and it was unwatchable. Guh. |

Here's another great one. Somehow this song reminds me of Wild Horses by the Stones> An intriguing comparison. I like "Wild Horses" but I like "You Can't Always Get What You Want" even better. The Stones started with a sound similar to Wild Horses (after the London Bach Choir did their thing first) and then ramped up the rock from there. Another classic that uses the formula is "Stairway to Heaven" but the link is for YCAGWYW. Oh, and Merry Christmas too!
