<The Single Greatest Scene in the History of Motion Picture>

Yes thank you for bringing this to my attention:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fl7...

ABSOLUTELY IT IS THE SINGLE GREATEST SCENE IN THE HISTORY OF MOTION PICTURE.>

For my money, the greatest is when Jimmy decides to whack Maury in Goodfellas. It's not that long, but brevity is the soul of wit:

You really gave them a history lesson.

This post is a standout:

<Travis Bickle: <KKDEREK: What about <exile on main street>? IMO their best..<Sticky fingers> is also ridiculously good.Actually everything they did between "Their Satanic" and "exile" is unbelievable..Even better than what Beatles did at this time IMHO.> KKDEREK, the only Beatles & Stones albums you can compare is 'Their Satanic', which was a copycat of 'Sgt Peppers', (which Brian Jones told a hell bent Mick Jagger wouldn't work & didn't sell), 'Beggars Banquet' & 'Let Bleed' which was a scarcastic comment on The Beatles disinegration during the 'Let It Be' contractual obligation film & soundtrack, which was shelved for later in the year. The Beatles went to work on their final masterpiece 'Abbey Road' to get it right before they disbanded in 1970.

'Sticky Fingers' was released in 1971 & 'Exile on Main St.' 1972. During the 60's The Beatles dominated popular music globally and dwarfed the Rolling Stones. After 1971 & on with constant touring & with much better sound systems The Stones did get better.

You have to give The Stones a lot of credit for being creative for so long a time! They really only had 1 singer where as the Beatles had 3 great ones, so The Stones were amazing! They also benefitted from line-up changes with The Stones getting Mick Taylor on lead guitar when Brian Jones was dropped from the band. Also Ron Wood joined them on guitar as well. That gave The Rolling Stones a fresh vibe & a more modern approach to guitar playing.>

Case closed!

Thanks for that vintage Stones track-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGh...

The were really in love with American blues eh?

It's funny that <Pink Floyd>, named after two bluesmen, didn't go in the "American blues roots revival" direction like the Stones did.

Maybe the <Stones> should have copied <Pink Floyd> in reverse by naming themselves <Return to the Sun of Nothing> or <Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict>.

Good heavens what on earth are you doing in a library?

That kid seemed to understand the concept of a plate glass window at such an early age.

Humans vs. Hybrid Nut Monkeys 1-0

If there was even a hint that someone- the announcer or the directors- deliberately planned that as a prank I should think the lot would have been fired eh?

What do you think?

I think it's a "happy accident," as they say.

"Gary's Gang" vintage club funk for dancing and such eh?

Again, even the hint of such fare makes me think of those great 1960s Blacksploitation Crime Dramas.

But then after the intro, the "Gary's Gang" tunes morphs right into a "Bee Gee's" disco vibe.

This is music evolution I think. It's a shame that the full on "disco era" tunes seemed to forget about the funky roots. Or so it seems to me.

I like the first half over the second half.

Here is my favorite Blacksploitation film and song:
