Are you sure it isn't true?

North Korea is a mysterious country of closely guarded TOP SECRETS...

On a related, and annoying note regarding CONSPIRACY THEORY NUTBARS.

Thanks, you idiots.

Thanks to you, when I search "google image" for animated "gif" pictures, if I use these key words

Astronaut
Moon landing
Astrnaut jumping

Now the first 6000 pages of results are all photos from NOBODY LANDED ON THE MOON conspiracy NUT BARS websites.

Thanks very much for making it harder for me to show anything "real" to my students.

You MORONS.

Jan-29-14  Thanh Phan: Had to laugh at the results, even if it is less than helpful afterwards

The whole thing was staged in a Burbank studio on the set of Star Trek with the full complicity and knowledge of Desilu Productions.

Jan-29-14  crawfb5: I assume you are collecting only Smyslov games and not the whole 1947 GBR-USSR match?

jessicafischerqueen: <Big Help on DEEP BACKGROUND>

Neither!

I'm collecting and sourcing the information on every tournament and match <Vasily Smyslov> ever played here: Game Collection: Smyslov Tournament and Match Metacollection

And I'm collecting any information of any kind I can find on <Vasily Smyslov> here: Game Collection: Smyslov Biography Edit

So that I can use that information to finish re-writing and expanding this bio here: Vasily Smyslov

And then all of the collected information should help me improve the research already collected so far on the next three draft mirrors I will write here:

Game Collection: WCC: Botvinnik-Smyslov 1954

Game Collection: WCC: Botvinnik-Smyslov 1957

Game Collection: WCC: Smyslov-Botvinnik Rematch 1958

It's a <Smyslov> festival to keep me out of trouble during my holiday in Canada.

jessicafischerqueen: <Ohio> Good heavens you've found another one...

I just made one last week. Thanks to you, in one sentence I can now combine three of "mine" with possibly the most famous word ever coined by <Fide Master Mozart>:

"To become an <astrnaut> or a <grandmaser> requires good <resarch> and diligent <scholarahip>."

jessicafischerqueen: My good <The good Astronaut>

I'm not really a POTD person. I didn't get where I am today by trying to solve the POTD.

Here is an audiovisual aid to better express my view on this issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QF...

Seriously though, if you want me to take a look at it, post it in my forum.

  jessicafischerqueen: <Moon colleagues>

Well you know I was thinking sometime later that the spammed up Google image search results aren't even caused by the Fake Moon landing conspiracy MORONS.

Rather, the spammed up results are caused by the even BIGGER MORONS who believe the original MORONS.

You see, the BIGGER MORON is much, much more numerous, and you need an enormous number of "hits" on an image to bump it up in the <GOOGLE "we don't really know what we're doing-try a Chinese search engine instead" IMAGE> queue.

Jan-29-14  NakoSonorense: Hey Jessica. What is up?

I was going to reply the other day to your comment regarding your favorite comment on cg.com ever, but I forgot.

Anyway, since I know you and Wilson the Volleyball are big movie gurus, is there anything available on Netflix I cannot miss? I saw Warrior the other day and I liked it so much, that I placed it on my top 3 favorite movies of all time.

Jan-30-14  dakgootje: <Thanks very much for making it harder for me to show anything "real" to my students.>

It might (with excessive stress on the word might - almost in the same category that last night I might have been inadvertedly temporarily transmogrified into a giant muffin) that this can be decreased by switching off Private Results.

If you search anything, at the right there's this cogwheelbutton. Go to search settings, look for private results, turn it off.

However so far Google has been very adapt at forgetting absolutely everything I wanted changed. So yesterday I altered the language-setting to English, and it has happily forgotten all about it today.

Aaaaand it might be that it only limits the amount of data it drags from other google-applications, but still digs and mines in your own previous results, which may or may not include fake pictures of people mooning.

Jan-30-14  thegoodanarchist: Jess,

The player of the day on the day of my post was the great plagiarizer himself! That is why I asked for a comment.

Never mind though. Today I would rather just note that your <"grandmaser"> might be something quite special, and has potential to be a powerful device:

Hey man! Thanks for the recommendation of <Warrior> which I accidentally alredy had on my hard drive. So I watched it. Good movie for sure, but I kept wishing it was about Boxing instead of "Mixed Martial Arts" whilst watching it.

I'm one of those people who think "If kicking was a good idea then boxers would do it in bar fights, but they don't."

Thanks for those complicated instructions that don't work. I didn't even try to follow your admittedly fine directions because I've decided to just surrender to GOOGLE.

heh... "Masers"

Who knew?

As for Mondo, I'm not pleased with him these days (as if he or anyone else cared what I think), so I'm glad I didn't see his POTD.

By the way, in case you didn't know, at cg.com we usually pronounce that "Potted."

Happy LOONAR New Year to you too, fellow Asian!

We get a four day holiday here in Korea. How much do you get in Vietnam?

Jan-31-14  Travis Bickle: Hey Jess, I read that when The Beatles recorded this song George Harrison had a new amplifier and George turned it really loud & the guitar was just blaring in the studio! You can hear it really well on this video.

Harrison was playing a red Gibson SG, (the famous 1 a lot of lead guitarists use, (see below for guitar).
